Welcome to the Necrons!

Working from the battle forces is a great start - there are a number of threads about how to get the most out of the battle force boxes on Dakka - if you haven't checked them out, worthwhile doing so.

Re your list, I'm going to assume that the plan is to DS the monolith somewhere near objective (or in the opponent backfield) and then suck the troops through it? Stalker is primarily there to light up a unit for twin linking?

So, using that assumption, couple of comments.

a) What loadout were you planning on using on the Stalker? The heavy gauss cannon might be better (longer range) and you'll be able to keep it out of the way a bit. You'll have to see how that goes, if you find that it dies too fast, swap it for a couple more scarab bases and a ghost ark.

b) In my games, blocks of Warriors (and to some extent Immortals) have a habit of being assaulted, failing morale and running off the board. You'll need some form of protection for them - scarabs may be helpful here. See if you can get some points to bump up the scarabs to 2 x 5 (you should have 5 in each battle force box).

c) Having Imotech in what is a primarily shooty list is a bit unusual (especially for the Stalker). Night fight is not going to do you any favours. Perhaps as an alternative, take Anrakyr (who will upgrade Immortals to Eternals) and use the Anni Barge as a CCB instead. Course, you will need to get a Phaeron for the warriors then (decisions, decisions).

d) You don't have a lot of AT in your original list. Changing to Anrakyr and CCB will help a lot, but a couple more lanceteks may be required. See how you go.

e) A ghost ark following that warrior blob (with a couple of lanceteks inside it) will help to ensure survivability. Appreciate that this might not gel with your suck through the monolith strategy, however, your are probably better off sucking the immortals through anyway.

f) You'll probably be aware that there is a consensus that Monoliths aren't that good for the points. I reckon you should play it if you want to. However, you could get 2 more Anni barges for the price of the monolith, (or another one and a DespairTek with Veil plus another lancetek).

Whatever you decide, hope you have fun playing them!
