I think it does have activations so it would be 'I go you go'...

Well they say they're not finished so we may see far bigger battlefields...
That said with 44 days to go and several thousand pounds to go we may not see it finished...

Hi guys. Sorry it's taken me a while to respond—I only spotted your questions now.

Regarding the table size shown in the pre-Alpha gameplay demo we used in our Pitch, Gameplay Demo and Gameplay Explained vids, we wanted to show a typical mid-size battle on a standard 6'x4' table, so that's what you're seeing there—a 6'x4' table. If it looks smaller, that's an optical illusion (we think caused by the "background" we've added (the hilly terrain beyond the play area) so that the table is not "the whole world".

As it happens, we do have a 24'x8' table in development, but it took a back-seat position as the needs of putting together the materials for the crowd funding campaign had to come first.

Your comments here have caused us to reassess that, though, so you can now look forward to seeing at least screenshots of that table, once it's at a stage where it looks good enough that it's worthy of sharing, and if we have time we'll produce a video of it for you.

So, keep your eyes on our campaign for updates relating to the larger table (it's already a pretty cool-looking desert table), and _please keep the feedback coming_! It helps us hugely to know what you guys do and don't like about the game now because, right now, we can still make significant design changes (at pre-Alpha stage) that we _won't_ be able to make in later stages of development.

I like the look of the desert map...
Terrain will be an interesting feature of this game if it's used right IMO.
I also liked that the desert map looked much bigger than the wintery one.

The desert map is equivalent to 24' x 8', whereas the winter map is 6' x 4'.

Hi everyone! So we had our hard-launch yesterday, and you may have seen a few reactions to our press release already.

I've added a list of the sites that have covered us so far to the EW:FE Indiegogo campaign page—some great write-ups there, and we're of course keen to see if we get picked up by sites like Rock, Paper, Shotgun, Kotaku and Penny Arcade (there's a lot of reticence to cover crowd funding campaigns currently, but we're working to overcome that—time will tell).

We also have added our new teaser video showcasing the large (24'x8'-equivalent) desert map, and a Gameplay Explained - Part 1 video. We hope you like them.

Is it moddable? Can we use it to play 40k with it?

Full modding support is definitely on the roadmap, so I would love to say yes—but actually delivering modding support is an expensive proposition, and you'll see on the campaign page that it doesn't appear until we get toward the higher end of the stretch goals.

As things currently stand, though, with the progress to-date, you'd have to say it looks like the community hasn't gotten behind us as much as we'd hope it would, so the game will most likely be minimum spec only. :(

We remain hopeful that will change, of course—but it would need to change soon.

Also, please make it I Go, You Go. The whfb games didnt agree with me because of how fast it was.

One question, if i donate, and it doesnt get the funding required,what happens to all the money?

It is a 'flexible funding' campaign - they get the money no matter what.

I don't know if there's some sort of 'penalty' for not reaching your goal (Indiegogo take s slightly bigger slice?) though...

What about the game? I would love to get into the alpha/QA, but fear for the game not actually being made; the entrance into the gaming industry would be awesome...

Tossed $10 that way, I'd love to see the game come to fruition.

As far as feeback goes the only thing that was a bit of a down in the videos was the animation of events so far, but I understand that is an early alpha demo. Too bad it's funded out of Australia as Kickstarter tends to get a lot more visibility on their projects.

At present, we're leaning toward developing fixed maps. It's an on-going discussion, though.

We've started answering the community's questions in this thread here, by the way.

Looking good. It's a shame you haven't gotten more support thus far. I only read about the game last night, I'll put in a some money later this week, I'm eyeing off some of the perks still

I've posted threads about the game over on a couple of gaming forums, so hopefully you get some more support for it! You guys should contact local gaming clubs, gaming stores and PC gaming/table top gaming internet forums to get the word out.

People interested in the game need to start talking about it and start posting threads on other forums as well, keep talking about the game and hopefully other people will read about it and get interested.

It's good to see an Aussie studio doing it as well, good luck to you!
