Hey dudes.

I'm not a big fan of Calgar on the whole but have been considering creating a version of Pugh, The Imp Fist Chapter Master with TH's counts as Gauntlets.

Checking the Codex I am unsure as to what the rules for Calgars Bolters are... It says assault 2, but he has two of these... does this mean that in reality you'd roll four dice or is the stat line the limits of his shooting?

Thanks for your help dudes.

It is two weapons that fire as one with the listed profile (similar to Dire Avenger Exarchs with 2 Avenger Shuriken Catapults).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Okedokey, thanks dude. Think I'll rethink the Chap Master option instead. Just wanted a Chapter Master who wasn't outlclassed by Lysander!

Even if it were two weapons, Calgar could not shoot both as he doesn't have a special rule allowing it.

Reeto. at first glance it seemed like a decent weapon but is maybe a bit lame in comparison to Kantors Assault 4 Storm Bolter. (Maybe not if AP3, haven't got my codex to hand though)

Kantor has twice the shots, but Clagar's AP is 2x better.

Its probably a silly question considering the special rules surrounding Calgar, but would you take him as a proxy for an Imperial Fist chap Master or would you use Kantor? I think Kantor is a bit of a cliche for Imp Fist option and Calgar could be construed as taking him for the sake of taking him.

Calgar's is 2 shots Str 4 AP2 reroll to wound. His is Wayyy better than Kantor's.

For proxy, you can do whatever you want. For count-as you need to have all the important wargear visible. Thus, if the IF chapter master has a hammer and a shield, your count-as model needs a hammer and a shield.

I thought rerolls were only in CC!

I was thinking of substituting Gauntlets for Hammers but using them as Gauntlets for rules!

Nope. It spells out in the codex that Titanic Might applies to both shooting and close combat. Too bad he doesn't have T5,S5 like Drago.

I guess if your opponent is ok with that it should be fine. Most people know Calgar anyway. Make sure you tell him that Calgar has a power sword as well (just in case you want to kill those pesky MEQ at I5 re-roll to wound instead of I1).

You mean the power weapon jammed in his head?

He has a power weapon on his belt both for the power armour and terminator armour. His profile has both the Gauntlets of Ultramar and power weapon.

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

So its dumb that he made the rules match a pre-existing model?
