I just started playing and cant afford to purchase a whole lot, thank you college. So this is a flier spam list that I thought up after looking at other forum posts and using what I have including 7 hand made cardboard Doom/Night Scythes.

Oh yeah, I brought the Veil and Obyron because I looked at a post saying that if the Night Scythe gets immobilized then you wont be able to use that squad for fear of assault so the Veils allow them to get out and teleport away.

im not 100% good with the crons but the list looks fine just make sure you use the doom scythes as a large target so your army can survive reason being your doom scythes will take all of the fire at turn 1 and as long as they are alive they will be shot at

Split the bigger immortal squads down to 5 man and add more scythes.

Buy more models, I know, but I think msu scythe spam is the only way to play it.

I suggest you actually split the warrior squads down to 5 man, put them in the scythes. (I think this is what CNC meant)

Combine the immortal squads, add Imo and Obyron to the same squad, swap the VeilTek for a stormtek and squeeze to fit a scythe.

Better, do the above, drop Obyron and get a lord with MSS, SW and war scythe (better still, squeeze 2 by reducing immortals). MSS is better value than Obyron's mantle. because you can't use the mantle when you are dead.

I wanted to keep onto Obyron because Lucas83 I believe his name was said that if Night Scythe gets Immobilised the unit inside is pretty much stuck so I wanted to give them a way to get out and run.

If the Scythe gets destroyed, the unit comes in from the edge of the board, so having a veil to move them around makes sense. However, that's a lot of points just so you can move a squad of warriors around.

I personally wouldn't bother, cos veiling 10 gauss warriors is an exercise in danger:

a) Its a pretty big DS footprint increasing the chance of a mishap;
b) If you land outside of a 12" range from any enemy unit you can't shoot at them (being rapid fire weapons) (but they can shoot at you!)
c) if you do put the unit down within 12 inches of an enemy unit - you'd better shoot well cos the ensuing assault could be messy.

10 Tesla immortals would be slightly better (cos the Tesla carbines are S5 and not rapid fire, plus the Immortals have a 3++) but the same concern re assault would apply - unless you beef them up a bit.
