I was at Hobby Lobby today just looking around while my wife was shopping. In the model kit section by the trains I found they now carry patterend styrene sheet. They had six different types- craters, corrugated siding, double diamond plate, asphalt shingles, brick pattern and rough brick pattern. All sheets are 0.5mm thick, 7.5"x12", are an HO-scale except for the diamond plate which is a G-scale, and you get two sheets per package. You can go to the Hobby Lobby website and print off a 40% off one item coupon just about every week so this makes these sheets a very good deal. Here is a picture of thier display.

The brick pattern sheets look way to small for 40k, but the asphalt shingle could be used for cobble stone bases. The diamond plate and corrugated siding look a good size for scrap armor on orks or for bases. The craters can be cut out and made into terrain or added to a ruined building, I may be getting these next to do some quick terrain.

I picked up the corrugated siding and diamond plate sheets but have not had a chance to test them out yet, but will post some picutes when I do. Hope this helps.

I will for sure, hope to get some work done tonight. They really have lost alot in the modeling section, although they are much better than Michale's. They used to carry a decent stock of military and sci-fi models, but now it is mostly cars. I usually only buy paint brushes and hobby tools from them because of the discount coupoon you can get.

It is a fairly new product, but thier webstore is not that great to begin with. I tried to look up the sheets on the wibsite that was on the package but found nothing.

Great, one more reason to lament the fact that the nearest Hobby Lobby is 50 miles away.

I did get to work with it a bit tonight. It is not styrene like evergreen scale models, feels more like a plastic car kit. It does cut very easy with very little clean up needed. I also cut a disc and it will work well for bases. Also tried out a few glues and had no issues with either. My only complaint is the sheets were not cut square, one long side was off by about a 1/16". Other than that i am happy with the product. I can not wait to try it out on some of my ork models.

Conduct While Gaming
While rolling a die, do not say, “Anything but a 1!” unless you wish the die to come up as 1. Any other such attempts to anger the “Dice Gods” will result in the existential equivalent of continuously flipping a coin and having it come up heads every time (for reference, see Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead). Your dice will be cursed to roll ones for everything other than morale checks, which will come up sixes.

ORK PLAYERS HAVE A LIMIT OF 1 SCREAMS OF WAAAAAAGH PER HOUR. violators will be forced to play tau.

Players with chimeras and las weapons shall pronounce chimera ki-mere-uh, not chim-ere-uh. Violators will be forced to play nothing but world eaters. Non-40k personnel must purchase and build a chimera.

I took this picture awhile ago but just forgot to load and post it. I cut out a disc and made a quick base. I started a new schedule at work and have been really busy, so not much time for 40k. I am cutting up some small armor pieces for my deff dread and it looks really good.
