So my buddy and I are splitting the 2 player box tomorrow. I picked up some card sleeves and the template today, we have dice and measuring tapes, is there anything else we need? Also I've heard some people say to magnetize the arms on the war jacks, should we be doing that? Also I know the models are plastic but have heard people refer to them as more of a resin? Whats the deal on them and if they are plastic will citadel plastic glue work on them?

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Plastic glue will NOT work on them as they are PVC and not the plastic GW uses.

Also the jacks you get do not come with the extra parts to make the alt jacks. If you want to change the jacks you will need to buy the jack kit for the different parts

Ok thanks, so sounds like magnetizing doesn't really matter which makes it easy on me.

I think magnetizing is worth it, Buy 1 heavy jack box and magnetise the first 2 jacks and you can have 4 jacks for each initial jack you get in the box! Then you can plan a beast 09 conversion out of the 3rd one However if money is not an issue (or painting time) do not bother. you can magnetize without drilling with a simple chop method , which works fine in my book. tutorial is here: http://quietlimit.blogspot.com.au/2010/07/magnetizing-khador-warjack-easy-version.html

For menoth at least...
Some of the character kits are just the arms for example that go on the Crusader...
I would use magnets. its fast and easy.

With warmachine you dont need much, just take a notebook and pen to keep track of differnet things during the game

Khador 75p
Menoth 35p
Circle 25p
Legion 25p |

What would you need a notebook and pen for?
You've got the cards to keep track of stats and damage, and you can use the tokens from the token sets (or slips of paper if you don't want to buy the token set) to keep track of spells, upkeeps, focus and lasting effects.
@Magnetizing, I wouldn't do it, but that is more of an aesthetic decision on my part. I like my jacks to have a specific personality, kind of, so I don't like them switching around what they are. If you do want to save money and still try many different options, it may be a good idea though. Even if you don't buy an extra heavy warjack kit right now, you could just magnetize the ones you have and then when you buy the heavy jack kit later, you have all the options.

And you know what's funny? "feth" is actually censored on a forum about a dystopia where the nice guys are the ones who kill only millions of innocents, not billions. |
