Hello i've recently began to convert some of my Imperial Guard into snipers. I used the cadian shock troopers as a base but used catachan lasguns to make the sniper rifles. I glued on a 5mm segment from a cotten bud to extend the barrel. I used an old space marine tactial squad scope for the scope. The last piece of puzzle is the ghillie suit, the problem is I cannot think of a really good method to make a ghillie suit. I was thinking of taking some string and wrapping it around the model then intertwining some leaf shaped green card into the string.

Please could you help me out.
Pictures would be really helpful
If you can also give me a guide it would be really helpful

Cheers

Use the same method that we use to make cammo netting on tanks. Use a more fine gaus pad though, after you drape the gaus over the model, dip really small strips of paper towel into your water/glue mix and then attach as many as you want to your netting.
This is for tanks but just use a bandage with more fine cloth and it'll look good for infantry. (My book mark is on page 71, I sifted through 40 pages >_<

ok thanks for that, but why use paper towel? i like the idea of using gauze though. How would you go about painting it?

I guess the paper towel act as additional foliage-style bits for the netting.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Thanks to everyone who contributed, i'm not to keen on greenstuff to be honest, and after seeing the tutorial for the gauze/tea/paper towels i'm steering towards that idea.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed!
I'll probably post some pictures when it's finished
