I was in a skype call with friends the other day when one of them sent me a link to this. Lets get this straight. I don't like Matt Ward. I will not list all the reasons because they are excessive and as numerous as a tyranid swarm (before meeting a grey night army). And then I saw this. At first glance I thought it was an interesting fluffy upgrade to a once cool army. But then I read what it can pull out of its hairy orange ass. If you guys have any stories or links you would like to show, then feel free to post. It feels good to let it all out.

"Dan from the Web Team says: It's great to see the Warhammer 40,000 background expanding to include the occasional alien race every now and again. The Jokaero have been mentioned in Warhammer 40,000 since the Rogue Trader version of the game and they've now got their own model. Traditionally the Jokaero made digital weapons, tiny little finger-rings or personal items of immense power, and in Codex: Grey Knights this tradition has been kept. Expect nothing short of excessive firepower from these little guys, as they can spawn a lascannon, a heavy flamer or a multi-melta each turn[u], which is a nasty surprise for any adversary to run into."

That was a quote from the model, here's the link: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1140004&prodId=prod1140066a

So what's your point? I fail to see how this deserves a thread.

You're trying to beat a horse that has been through several taco bell restaurants already. We've discussed this to several degrees past oblivion, and we all know all there is to hate and rage about Ward.

Umm those are the Jokero's Digital weapons...

"While outwardly they appear to be unarmed, Jokaero digital weapons can prove to be deadly, whether they choose to use a powerful laser, a flame thrower or a devastating melta weapon."

They are also the best technological masters ever known...

"Jokaero are technosavants without peer and have an instinctive understanding of machinery and technological systems."

Not a stretch that they have lascannons that run off of a tiny power source within a bracelet.

That's how digital weapons work, and it's how they were described back in Rogue Trader and the few times they were mentioned beforehand in several spinoffs like the PPG books.

I hope we can all take a little something from this thread.

I'm not sure what, though. Moving on.
