okay, so I play a green tide army usually but have recently added a mechanized section that rolls in a kff bubble.

I have;

20 boyz,
15 lootas,
5 deffkoptas (all rokkits, 2 buzzsaws),
2 boomwagonz,
1 rolla BW,
15 kommandos + snik,
kff mek,
2 trukks,
10 wound-alli-friendly nobz,
pk warboss,
1 dakka jet,
1 chinork,

think that wraps it....

Feel free to make suggestion with what I have available.

My plan so far is quite a straight forward list that's looking like;

Kff Mek - 85

20 sluggas, Nob, Pk, Bp - 160

20 shootas, Nob, Pk, Bp, 2 x BS - 170

20 shootas, Nob, Pk, Bp, 2 x BS - 170

10 lootas

This leaves 15 points for some kit for my Mek... main concern is no high ST ranged weapons for av13-14 but that usually gets straightened out with a power klaw

I'd turn one of the shoota units into Slugga units (drop the BS), and Use those points to Give the Mek either a Burna or cybork bodies.

are you allowed to use forgeworld stuff in tournies? atleast in ard boyz and at my local hobby storeyou cant, I like the bottom list, and I agree with grodclog that 1 squad of shootas is good, sluggas just are competitive, or atleast strong enough to be completely destroyed, also I have better luck with squads of 30, I can see doin squads of 20 in such a low point cost, so idk

The lootas can deal with armor 13. I wouldn't worry about that. Stopping them from shooting is really all you need until you get close. You might have to worry about a Russ. That could be bad for you.

To deal with this I might try to get a Saw Kopta in there for alpha strike first turn.

I personally like shootas better, they are more adaptable. Might have to drop some of them to find the room for the kopta. I would put the Mke in with the shootas as you might not have them assault. Which the Mek does not want to be in. I wouldn't even worry about any wargear on the Mek other then that KFF. Its really a waste as he will die before he gets to use any of it.
