The fluff in the daemon codex explains how epidemius is oneof the seven proctors of pestillence. Anyone have any ideas for rules about the other six?

I was wondering why his picture in the codex calls him the first. I can't find anything.

proc·tor
noun
1. a person appointed to keep watch over students at examinations.
2. an official charged with various duties, especially with the maintenance of good order.

Sounds like they might just be future daemons with crappy jobs.

I played Ordo Malleus since before it had a codex.

Well, with nurgle being father like, many of his greater and more powerful daemons are also fatherly to lesser daemons, the proctors are just as explained: they look look after the babbling hordes of plague bearers and nurglings.

You can't help but wonder what the other 6 do assuming they don't all do the same thing, just at difference locales.

Like there's Mr. Epidemius, CEO of Nurgle Corp's Milky Way region management while someone else runs the office at the Andromeda office.

I'll have a stab at names for the 7 proctors:

Epidemius
Epidermus
Borgax
Petistal
Virum
Girgir
Vormiter

And what they do:

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Epidemius: Tally man of nurgle, records deseases, symtoms and stuff
Epidermus: Lord of nurglings
Borgax: lord of plaguebearers
Pestial: ensures the spreading of deseases
Virum: Deals with the warp / real world transfer of diseases without the need of a warp gate
Girgir: In charge pf maintaining a good father to child relationship between greater nurgle daemons and lesser ones in legions
Vormiter: Big, fat impressive looking, doesn't do much but recieves a lot of respect and interest like the English royal family.

Do tell how Chaos spread from the Milky Way to another galaxy.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Chaos doesn't exist in our galaxy, it lives in a parallel(?) universe. How would it NOT spread to another galaxy? Hell, other galaxies probably have the exact same gods up there.

Nope. Outside of our Galaxy it's Orks and Nids (And possibly whatever the Nids are running from - probably Orks).

Almost every time the space outside our galaxy is mentioned, references to extra-galactic probes and lost colony ships are made, beaming signals full of Ork chatter back to holy Terra.

Pit your chainsword against my chainsw- wait that's Heresy.

That's assuming that other galaxies have a) creatures in tune with the warp, b) said warp tune creatures messed up the warp so badly (Like the Old Ones) that they create their own chaos, c) aren't dedicated to a god (like the Ork or how the Eldar were before the Fall) allowing whatever gods of chaos to awaken.

Also remember that the War in Heaven only messed up the portion of the Warp that is parallel to our galaxy, The warp is pretty calm at the fringes of and beyond our galaxy. Our chaos is an isolated event.

I'll take on Pestial

Pestial, The Dispatcher of Plagues

Pestial is one of the 7 proctors of Nurgle, his duties entail ensuring that plagues reach their respective destination. However, Pestial is a devious and lazy proctor who merely ensure that something of nurgle's (whether it be the plague itself, a group of nurglings, or whatnot) reaches some destination. As such, Nurgle is slightly annoyed by the laziness of Pestial, but is content that someone recieves his gift one way or another.

Points: 130

WS3 BS4 S4 T5 W3 I3 A3 Ld10 Sv 5+

Unit Type: Infantry

Number/squad: Unique

Daemonic Gifts:
Breath of Chaos
Chaos Icon
Noxious Touch
Plague Cannon: The Plague Cannon is one of Pestial's favorite methods of delivering plagues, firing masses of infected flesh (or nurglings, or plaguebearers, or some other servant of Nurgle... whatever happens to be close at hand) across and through the warp to hit some random populace. It has the following profile:
Range: Infinite S:X* AP:X* Heavy 1

(*The Plague Cannon's shot is determined by a roll of D6)

D6 roll of 1: Pestial fired a nurgling which explodes upon impact. It has the following profile: S:X (Poisoned 6+) AP:- Small Blast

D6 roll of 2: Pestial fired a plaguebearer which explodes upon impact. It has the following profile: S:X (Poisoned 5+) AP:6 Small Blast

D6 roll of 3: Pestial fired a beast of nurgle which explodes upon impact. It has the following profile: S:X (Poisoned 4+) AP:5 Large Blast

D6 roll of 4: Pestial fired an unfortunate lesser herald of nurgle which explodes upon impact. It has the following profile: S:X (Poisoned 3+) AP:4 Large Blast

D6 roll of 5-6: Pestial fires off the virulent plague that Nurgle asked to be sent. It has the following profile: S:X (Poisoned 2+) AP:3 Large Blast, Ignores Cover

Special Rules:
Daemon
Feel No Pain
Independent Character
Slow and Purposeful
Devious (and Lazy) Deliveryman: Pestial is a joker of sorts and sometimes a delivery that seemed to have been randomly sent was actually a joke played by Pestial. Units of Nurgle that deepstrike onto an enemy unit are not destroyed, rather they are placed automatically in assault with said enemy unit. Jokes on you!
