I made 3 of these little guys. Since this is the place for rules questions and whatnot, what should I use these models for?

Would they work as any kind of "counts as X" in the Ork codex? I was thinking maybe Runtherds?

They fit perfectly on a 40mm base or 3 on a MC base. I also have enough bits to arm them in differnt manners if that helps.

you could use them as a looted wagon to be cheesy since it says no were what the actual model is thus you can do whatever you want. but thats a bit cheesy. id say use them as artillery pieces from heavy support

You could also use them as big shoota boyz maybe flash gits. If you put them on a 40mm base you might even get away with using them as buggies.

They do look awesome, no matter what you do the rule of cool is going to work in your favor.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Either us them as artillery or buggies, or maybe models with 'Eavy and a lot of dakka.

Isn't there a Forge World list with stuff like this?

Yep, and IA Apoc 2nd edition, from memory, shows how to use tehm in a normal ork army. I think the idea is that these are smaller than usual grot tanks

How come no one mentioned bikes? Wartrak would be just as good though.

I played Ordo Malleus since before it had a codex.

You could also use them as Killer Kans as they are essentially a mini deff dread with a grot in. Killer Kans have a single gun (and a CCW, which could be running things over with the treads) so its not too much of a stretch. And they come in a squadren of 3.

Again, it's the size that's the issue. They seem to be just under half the size of a normal grot tank, so using them as actual grot tanks would probably be the closet equivalent.

edit: owait, but if you'd feel you'd rather not use grot tanks due to usual FW unit issues... how about Big Guns?

They'd make good objective markers and make your opponent think twice about capping them.

"Sure you have that objective, but do you reallllly want to be hanging around with an armoured Grot?"

Ammo grots (dakka dakka dakka)

they are a bit tiny for most other units.

Grotherds wold work, gunning down fleeing grots instead of having them eaten by a grothound.

I'd be tempted to put Killakan legs on a turret and use them as meganobz

Whatever they wind up used for, they are still awesome

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
