Was taking a second look at these figures and I realized how much I like their take on the ripper gun. More importantly, looking at the comparative scale, do you think we may have found a really cheap source for human squad-portable heavy weapons? I'm seeing a good start for Heavy Bolters, here, possibly even man-portable. There are of course Ogre hands molded on, but that's not really a problem with HIPS.

HBs seem to get short shrift in 40k, but they're a pretty good weapon in Grimdark Future.

We would need many, many sales of such a kit.

Suggestions are always open, though. I will add yours to the list

Would you tho? You should probably explain to WGA the reasons you're not buying GW's or Mantic's, so they don't make the same design mistakes.

Dear WGA - please consider Death Fields Space Samurai set! And then - a dream - some sci-fi robed faction. Your sets are perfect base for kitbashing Mutant Chronicles/Warzone faction and now only Mishima and Brotherhood are missing, apart from Dark Legion.

As for your STL service - mirror hands, hands other than just holding a rifle/carbine/etc. I'd also love to see such hands positions and heavy weapon pack upgrades for existing Iron Core sets. Still I prefer upgrade-style sprues like your excellent WAADFS01 than printed product.

I'll pass your question along. I don't have any current information other than that they are being worked on.

Thank you for your suggestions.

We've opened up the friday poll on the wargames atlantic legion facebook group.

Is it that time already? My, my how the weeks do fly by!
This week, yeah we know we're talking about this a lot but it's because we're really excited and believe we can provide an extraordinary number of interesting digital assets. Behind the scenes as we think about this our main focus is not only on WHAT to make but also how those of you who don't have 3D printers can get all these great products into your grubby little hands as fast as possible. So don't worry we're focused on doing this right and very well if we do it.
So that all said, this week's poll is, if you were subscribed for a monthly mega-dump of digital files (and yes you'll also be able to just buy them separately later and not be a subscriber): which of these things would you like the most? Choose as many as you like and keep in mind these would cover all of our ranges - Death Fields, Classic Fantasy, and the historical ones along with General Accoutrements.
And yes we will continue to release plastic sets at the same rate or greater than we are today.

options on the poll range:

full multi-part figure sets

conversion parts

character figures

vehicles

large monsters/creatures

terrain

scenic bases and trays

buildings

Although I'm not going to open a secondary poll here on Dakka, we are curious as to your thoughts and which of the above you would pick

Seconded as a full plastic kit release, not as STLS. So long as the designs are good, I don't see how this would be a risky bet. Droid soldiers etc. are a sci-fi staple, much moreso than, say, convict troopers.

Also seconding E.S.'s request for hard plastic Space Samurai, preferably with cool-looking techno samurai helmets. Hard for me to believe that there would be less demand for them than Grognards.

As for STLS, I generally have no interest in them as I'm several years away from making the limbo jump to buying a quality 3-D printer, and I get nervous about the brittle nature of resin with anything except head bits. (Resin heads, being small and compact, are in my experience well-nigh indestructible.)

With one easy-to-implement exception: As E.S. already requested, hands / arms not holding weapons. There's a niche need for sci-fi civilians out there. Unarmed arms (feel silly typing that) would be a simple way to convert your models into civvies / crew / workmen / etc.

How about just samurai in general? Why are we still having to game with ancient metals or the old WGF sets?

I'd love a modern take on samurai and ashigaru of any sort. Bonus for scifi gear.

Extra glue on bits for the layered sode/ haidate to samurai up other kits as well... oooh, one can dream.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I'm a bit late to the party here, but does anybody know if there are any UK based discount retailers that stock the Wargames Atlantic kits?

There are 3 or 4 kits that I'd love to pick up.

Firestorm games
The Sprue shop
Wayland Games
Element games

are all places UK based places i've used (for one thing or another recently) and also have WGA stuff cheaper than retail.

The Sprue Shop was cheapest for me (and offers single sprues as well as whole boxes) for a single box as they do free shipping too, but if your after several boxes at once it may be one of the others is best

but the kits are cheap enough that ordering direct from WGA and getting it as soon as it hits the UK is also attractive (and often what i do if i hit their free shipping threshold)

That suggestion list is something we are still adding to.

The poll today was about the type, rather than content, of potential releases on the subscription platform, and gauging community interest thereof.

Bionics?

WGA introduced bionic arms on the accessory sprue and I think they're included in the Cannon Fodder 2 box.

There were bionic arms in the Les Grognards box, and there are 3 bionic arms in Cannon Fodder 2. As of yet, no bionic legs, probably since torso and legs are one piece castings.

As for two toes, the rider could be wearing Japanese tabi socks. Despite having written that, I think it is unlikely.

Fireforge had a Samurai Kickstarter going a couple of months ago. So there are some proper plastics in the Pipeline.

I thought the ones in the Les Grognards command box were counts as power fist rather than bionic. Still, without rules, there's no reason to argue 'not bionic'.

Some of the Bulldog arms appear more armoured than cloth uniform. Maybe they're bionic as well.

Now, some of those The Vain will be getting attached to my small Ventrillian Nkbles force.

I have spare Curious Constructs pith helmet Ogre heads as well.

And oh, the possibilities of what to do with Les Grognards cavalry...

I wonder if they'll jump up the production queue seeing as Rough Riders are back in the Codex.

I second the bionics for the rider. As to reptillian - it looks like it could be both for fantasy and s-f.
