So, one of the biggest things barring me from buy at 20% off sites is
A: Waiting for Shipping
B: Price for shipping, i would only end up saving pennies unless i buy in bulk(which i do not often)
But i found a physical store not to far away that does 20% off. But its to far outta the way for gaming so i would have to play at the store i do now.
So im trying to figure out what To do, i love the owners at my current stoe and the other is in another town so the money wouldnt even go into ou economy.
And i play there.

1. Start a non-store based gaming club.
(I come from a time before GW stores existed here, and gaming in a store was a rare thing - game stores having tables for playing at? What kind of madness be this? Most of my gaming has therefore been confined to non-store avenues, so I end up not having this conundrum. Those stores that DID start up clubs that I was either involved in or knew about, also ran a discount scheme for members, to encourage them to pay where they played, but they also charged a fee per gamer).

2. Buy from whomever you like.

3. Profit.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Do what I do. Buy small items regularly. Paint, brushes, glue etc.

For larger purchases go online or to the discount store.

Or do what chromedog says.

Ask your gaming store to match pricing of the other LFGS then your not asking them to compete against the internet and you've given them a chance to keep your business.

I have 4 local shops I visit, the one I game at most has the worst discount, but I've found if I tell him I'm thinking about making a large purchase and want him to match another stores discount he usually does.

I don't ask on the piddly stuff like brushes paints blisters but If I'm buying 100 bucks or more, I ask.

I always look first at my FLGS. I will wait 2 weeks for them to get what I ask for; if they don't I get it online.

For tournament support I get it from the cheapest vendor, but I feel an obligation to make the money go the furthest for the players, who are like stockholders in a sense.

Are you typing off of an iPod OP?

As Aerethan said, I try to support my FLGS as much as possible. All paints/brushes/glue and small purchases are from the store. When I was inbetween stores (Previous GW closed) - I would order online for the 25% discount. Waiting for shipping didn't matter for me. The Warstore orders tend to get to me in a day or two. For large 300-400$ orders, the obvious choice is the online retailers IMHO. I actually like ordering more then buying items in stores. It cuts down on the impulse buys which tend to not be the best choices!

I find the majority of your posts to be amusing. You have a great sense of humor!

If you don't impulse buy, buy the smaller items from your FLGS and save the larger purchases Online! (Unless you get the discount off at your FLGS!)
