I know it says that the orbital strike relay always scatters the full direction and even with a hit, it still scatters. My question is whether or not you get to subtract the ballistic skill from the the distance. My guess is no, but I just wanted to double check to make sure I am not missing something.

No BS subtraction.

It says it always scatters the full distance, hence no BS reduction.

Well I took a look at the codex and it does not say anything about not subtracting his BS from the scatter.

Now, the chapter master ruling for his orbital strike says you DO NOT subtract his BS from the scatter and the GK one does not mention it at all. So it is safe to assume you subtract it.
