I've got a little bit of money on paypal and I'm loving the stormboys models and I like bikes but of course there are always kans. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to buy next but I'm just not sure how strong the units are and how well the perform. My first pick would be the stormboys but I'm not sure how good they can be I'm not sure about the bikes or optimal squad sizes for these units it's just overall a hard pick XD especially with 6th and everything I've read with it going melee heavy I just don't know. So do you guys have tips tricks hints or optimal unit sizes.

Kans they are much harder to shift being vehicles, and will wreck havok in CC.

Don't bother spending money on Kans. Just take a paint can and get leg/arm bits and you're set

Follow these easy steps and you can have all units with your saved money.

1) Wait for 6th edition to be released

2) Wait for nerd rage to erupt

3) Buy armies cheap off ebay

I own all 3 of those, and played with them all in a few games... i can say the following

Kan's are an awesome unit, and you will love having them if you want to win, but they are boring to paint, and megnatize.
Bikes, are a good unit, especially in a biker style army, the 4+ cover save and T5 make them pretty hardy, as well they are fun to assemble and paint.
Stormboys look great, thats about it... they are somewhat effective, but not enough to justify the cost.

So basically if your looking to be competitive, go Kans or Bikes, if you want something fun, that looks great, Bikes or Stormboys.

one small personal note, a month after I got my Kans going, I stopped playing my orks, Kans are lethal, but sap the fun out of Orks for me.

I have 9 bikes i dont own any stormboys or kans atm and I really do love the stormboyz with zagstruk model i just want some at least a little combat effectiveness :(

Kans in great numbers are great all purpose units. They can deal with tanks, something most other ork units cannot deal with and can be equipped as you need them.

Stormboys are just boys but faster, yet with the special stormboy can be really good, if you are lucky.

Bikes can do well, they are quite fast but if you are going to use bike take nob bikers, normal bikers tend to run away a lot.

If I get the kans I'm gonna want deff dreads and I can only get one of those atm.
The bikes I could get 21 of them but I don't know what I need numbers wise and I could get 30 stormboyz and zagstruk...
I've got koptas for fast attack and three dakka jets and I plan on making the koptas into buggies I'm just at a loss lol

If you have dakka jets, but have no heavy support units, then run kans. You can take a single troop deff dread for each big mek in your army. Don't bother taking them as heavy.

I have 5 battlewagons >< how good is a kan wall? I just have an issue blowing so much money on something I'm never gonna play (stormboyz). Just love the way they look

A kan wall is an awesome army at 500-1750 points. Beyond that, shooting down nine kanz is too easy for your opponents, so they really lose power.

I usually run a kan wall up to 1500 points, and then switch to battlewagons. Sadly the big trukks are way to expensive for small games.

I'm just having a hard time finding a decent list for 2k games with wagons. I was running 5 wagons but it's just to easy to stop the whole list with terrain. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong I don't know I would like to see others post a wagon list but I haven't seen one in ages

Five weagons are simply too many. Wagons themselves aren't that awesome. They are like rhinos in a way, rhinos are a great vehicle for their points, but you would never spend a single points for an empty one/one with useless content.

Battlewagons with a deadly cargo are awesome, so make sure every single one of them has something that will absolutely terrify your opponent. Small nobz squads don't do that, plus you are giving up points that you could have used for support units.

For example, my list I'm planning to use this weekend hat one wagon of shoota boyz and big mek, one wagon of slugga boyz, one has a 300 points nobz squad and one has my warboss and burnaz. For the rest of my points, I'm getting three dakka jets and two squads of lootaz, a much better investment than another battlewagon. I can shoot five different targets at decent range with them, while the battlewagon can only do something I can already do anyways - ram and disembark close combat troops.

If you spend the money on them why wouldn't you play with them? They don't have to be the perfect unit to be included, just something that you like and want to see on the table top. Stormboyz are overpriced for what they are, but they are a LOT of fun to have on the table and orks with limitedly controlled rockets on their backs just are the perfect image of an ork army to me.
