I've been told you can field a force of both using a single FOC; how exactly does this work and where can I find the SOB rules for this? I have the 4th ed Witch hunters codex but I can't seem to find anything about it and obviously it is outdated.

Using the current rules you can't do that unless your opponent okays it.

The old allies rules don't work any more.

Stay tuned; all the rumors indicate that 6th edition will have a system for allies.

Don't bother, it's just rules for team games.

Depending on where you go for rumours, some places have suggested it's more like the old Witch Hunters and Daemonhunters options, with heavy limitations to prevent you from just cherry picking the best stuff out of the secondary dex.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I just want to field an inquisitor, an assassin and some battle sisters alongside my guard legally somehow. Is there going to be a re-release of the witch hunters or sisters of battle codex?

There is a WD update.

Inquisitors are no longer a part of the Sisters army, and the only assassins are Death-cult.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Call your Inquisitor a Confessor and go to it. Death Cult assassins are super in the new list.

Good luck finding a copy of the new list if you don't already have it.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Oh that sucks, I fell in love with inquisitors and non-deathcult assasins but I dont like GK's and would never use them.

Many GK lists use few, if any, actual Grey Knights. I wrote one based on odds and ends from my other armies but I never got to use it. The closest thing to a Grey Knight my list had was Dreadnoughts and a Techmarine.

Hi all, we use the multiple detachments rule in the BRB for exactly this scenario. Now i know it says for larger games but it has worked wonders for us.

I have been slowly building my sisters up over a number of years and have found it helpful to get some of them used. My mate also did it with his daemons.

Now i intend to add a Inq and a couple of squads now the sisters are bigger and introduce a new force to my collection this way. (and if the rumours are to be believed it`ll bee legal next ed anyway)

Its purely at discretion of the players though and as long as it wasnt used for an obvious advantage or cheesy rule/unit/tactic then i`d fight it no problem.

We agreed that as long as you have an HQ and 2 troops from both lists and keep within the FOC and points cost then you can take pretty much whatever you like.

Oh and before i forget we agreed that codex assassins still stands, you just use the new rules and points. Admittedly we did this because we all had assassins and no GK armies but hey again it works for us.

Cheers, K.

One good thing about Codex: GK is that you can take standard henchmen, give them power armour, bolters, meltas and flamers, then add a crusader, psyker or flagellant in for flavour and you have a SoB squad!

There are many good things about Codex:GK; I'm not sure the ability to make 15-point sudo-Battle Sisters with Guardsmen stats is foremost among them.
