Take list 2! More mobile threats to go with the wraiths.

I'd also vote for list two.
I don't like the scarab composition in the first list. Given that the squad only has 6 bases, if the opponent gets a lucky deep strike + flamer, a large chunk of your points can be nullified. Without scarabs, the spyders are sub-par.
The second list has good speed, CC in the wraiths, and lots of Tesla dakka. Redundancy is always a positive

While wraiths are good, in my testing with immotek 2 units of scarabs were better by far. Then again, I was running lots and lots of spyders, but it seemed that 1 unit of wraiths was plenty to engage most cc units that could hurt the scarab wall. And 12 scarabs have wrecked 4 vee's in 1 turn.
Excepting grey knights, there are few enemies that scarabs lose to with spyder support that wraiths beat. What I mean is that with your 245 point wraith unit in list 1, imagine if that was 6 scarabs and 3 more spyders. Now you have 12 scarabs to start and 6 a turn. By turn 3, are comparing 3 spyders, 15 scarabs, and 12 wraiths to 6 spyders, 30 scarabs and 6 wraiths.
So double the spyders, double the scarabs, and half the wraiths. I personally take double spyders and double scarabs but half wraiths, as you get to double 2 of your units for the cost of halving 1. Plus, versus many opponents that wraiths are good against, spyders are as good or better. Grey hunters for example need 6's to wound and still have a 3+ save to contend with, plus always lose their armor save, while versus wraiths they hit on 4's instead of 3's.
24 s4 attacks hit 18, wound 3, unsave 1 versus spyders.
24 s4 attacks hit 12, wound 6, unsave 2 versus wraiths.
At the end of the day, for the lists you proposed I like list 2 better. That does not mean that is the list you should buy for by the way. I highly suggest proxy games to see if you like the night scythe as opposed to anni barges.

Dont get me wrong spyders are nice but they are slow any easy countered now i know wraiths are also countered but with 2 turns Min of night fighting they are in your face by turn 3 and your opponent cant stay away from them indefinitely unlike with spyders. at my club i have a rough idea of what i will be facing and what i am most scared of grey knight msu spam with purifiers which will rip scarabs and spyders a new one and nid stealer spam which laugh at spyders and swarms.
Ok it probably seems i'm getting a little defence of my wraiths now but i feel the things that spyders are better against i'm not worrying to much about anyway grey hunters for example can be dealt with by both units but the spyders are never going to get there before getting shot to pieces by there long fangs or even worse jaws of the world wolf of which wraiths are immune. scarabs are great at killing tanks and holding squads that don't excel in cc and slowly munching there faces off that don't excel in cc but i don't find i can rely on them to much i prefer them in a support role instead of part of the core army build.
thanks a lot for they reply though i think the both wraiths and spyders/scarbs are awesome but you have to go mainly with one or the other and they both have different match ups that they preform better against for instance i would much rather take a spyder/scarab set-up against mech blood angels
in reply to dexkivuli normally the spyders are deployed in a place where they cannot be shot for the 1st turn at least or in the case of a flamer dread they will be shielded by a wraith squad so the dread can only get so close and only get a few wounds on the swarms, List 1 is the list I've been using currently and has been working quite well but im not sure if its fine tuned enough for a tournament . tbh the only reason list 1 has been working so well for me is storm lords lighting goes beast mode every time i play it in my last game against a competitive grey knight list it took about 2 razor's and a psydread 1st turn 2nd turn it proceeded to kill coteaz's chimmira along with another psydread and another razor by turn 3 he called it lol.

I like list two but because you are not going tesla spam i would go with 3 Annihilation Barges over the 3 Night Scythes. It is a better value with higher AV.

Problem then is that my troops would then be walking around in small sqads and will die, I know sythes are flimsy but with 2 turns of night fighting to sheild them and hopefully turn 3 there army is busy dealing with 18 wraiths in thier face and 2 command barges bouncing around

Would they really be worrying about your troops on the ground that are far away in cover and protected by night fire? I doubt it, but i see your logic. Not to mention if they focus your troops, they will pay the price from the wraiths and command barges rushing down the table. Giving your opponnent more to shoot at can be a good thing because it gives your opponent more to think about and the priority's are not as clear. I wish you had 4 troop choices though.

possibly but in objective missions they will have to push out and it does not take much to kill of 5 warriors any more
