Would anyone know where I could get a pair of Lightning Claws for a PA Marine, preferably plastic arms for a regular customisable model? I plan to convert up a Captain Shrike for my Blood Ravens.

The black templar sword bretheren set has a lightning claw for each arm

Space Wolves (Grey Hunters I think...) has an LC for each hand.

There's an alternative left hand lightning claw from the SM Commander box.

(Sword breathren are fine cast, and don't come as individual claws - you'd have to saw them off)

a bits store on ebay may be your best bet. I know the Space marine commander set has one (plastic) and the marine veteran squad carries one maybe more (metal). Assault squad sergeants may also have one on their kit (plastic) although I'm not certain of that.

There not the most commonly equipped pieces of kit so I'm certain you would find plenty on ebay for far cheaper than buying a couple of the above kits just for a couple of lightning claws.

I just use Terminator Assault LCs.
They don't look out of proportion imo.

All those sound pretty good. Not sure on what to choose yet but I got till september to choose.

Hi Deadshot, everyone is pointing you in the right direction! I myself did a similar thing with my Chapter master, I used the commander lightning claw arm for his left arm and I used the right lightning arm from the wolf guard sprue, i just used my scalpel to slice the space wolf iconography off the top of the fist. here's a pic of him all done, if you scroll down about 3/4 the way past the rubber ducks you'll see him :-)

Very nice both of you! Impressive. I especially like taopaipai's Wolverine style claw!

I am still yet undecided on a pose. I am not sure whether I want a dynamic pose like Shrike, or him with his lightning Claws ready, but at his sides in a sort of badass look. If it were a.movie he would be on a hill, looking over his shoulder, light behind him, silouette, looking pretty nasty.

My last option would be to get the Shrike model and just deal with it, and the Raven Guard Emblem can be hidden as a Blood Raven if I paint it right but I don't want to do that.

Sort of like this but obviously with a Jump Pack and I would have him facing the other way, with his lightning claws posed oppositely. So the one closer in this pic would be more raised like on the other side and viceversa

Nothing on those sites. I know of a few more I will check out and then ask around to see if anyone locally has one. I got pleanty of marine bitz to swap. couple plasma pistols, a plasmagun, Dreadnought heavy flamer, rhino and land raider doors, GK bitz, of which I have plenty, and many prts from the SM commander. 2 Combiplasmas, a combimelta, 2 ornate bolters and 2 bolt pistols, decor and heads.

Terminator and PA claws are exactly the same size, like power fists.

Its the shoulders I am more concerned about rather than the claw itself. I don't fancy massive shoulders on a tiny PA guy. And I could reduce the size by not putting a shoulder pad on but it means I have no room for a transfer.

Trim down the shoulders until a PA pad fits, would be very easy with the plastic arms.

Yeah, I have decided to go with just a regular Captain Shrike in BR colours. His Raven Guard Icons can be easily hidden as Blood Raven symbols. Plus, I only have 1 finecast model so why not?

That was a rhetorical question. I don't have a major problem with a few pockmarks. I can fix those. If I get a blob for an arm that is a different matter.

Just slicing the claw off at the elbow and attaching it to a PA arm takes care of that... It's what I did for this guy:

That looks pretty good! The reason I am actually buying the Shrike model is just for simplicity. It means I don't have to round up a Termy Claw and a Jump Pack, and buy a kit to put legs in the equation. Buying the shrike model is cheaper than buying another SM commander+bitz. And I like finecast so that is a bonus.
