What's the despairtek for? Or does it not have a veil? I'll assume no veil.

Suggest you drop the extra deathmark and put MSS on the overlord instead.

Not convinced about the stalker. You could dump that and get an overlord to bulk up the immortals in the scythe, or add more scarabs or wraiths?

I agree with dropping the 6th Deathmark. I don't know if you already have the models, but you buy them in packs of 5 anyway. So the sixth is quite expensive (in $ terms, and assuming you're not making them from left-overs from your immortal kits).

I really like having to Overlords in barges. They are (in my opinion) the most powerful thing we have, and really cool to boot. I'd probably drop the Stalker and the Despairtek for one.

The Stalker is nice, and a very cool model, but it tends to die easily. It's really big, and hard to get cover. And while Tesla guns love twin-linking (particularly your immortals), your Night Scythes are already twin-linked.

I have a feeling it won't help you much given the rest of your list. If it shoots at vehicles, the immortals probably can't get through the armour anyway. And if you're shooting at infantry, all that twin-linking immortal fire is probably overkill.

In my opinion, overkill is the delcious treat that too many people fall for in their lists. If you do 200 wounds on a 5 man squad, you've wasted 195 wounds.

Have quite a few extra Deathmarks; extra one was just looking for something as filler for points. (Model wise, I have 14 Deathmarks and 16 Immortals with Tesla built).

No Veil for Despairtek, decided to try something different from how I normally run it by attaching him to the Deathmarks + Nightscythe. Between Deep Strike scatters and being obliterated very quickly once people realise what it can do; rather be able to place the Despairtek + Deathmarks somewhere accurately and importantly, in flamer template range (plus, can still Deep Strike if needed given the Nightscythe) seemed a worthwhile investment when it comes with the Nightscythe's weaponry on top.

Stalker was a decision on the basis of having some more anti-armour given a large amount of Tesla, but no Gauss really rather than for the twin-linked properties - and an av13 target to (hopefully) distract from some of the more fragile units. Have yet to actually try one out; though with the way I roll for the Destructek's Lances, twin-linked on some armour if the Heat Ray fails really can't hurt x.x Where though would be a better place to put the points in from the Stalker?
Edit: Only have the one barge, so can't replace with such yet. Most other excess beyond the other Deathmarks I have model wise are Scarabs, Warriors, Lychguard, Overlord with ResOrb.

Good logic with the Nightscythe and Deathmarks, makes sense.

See where you are coming from re the stalker, and you have got a Doomsday Ark which would benefit. However, have you got HGC on the stalker? I think the extra range may help particularly if you are chasing tanks.

I'm surprised to see wraiths in this list. I haven run wraiths since they were, well, good. I dont like the way they were changed. TBH I would drop them to opt in more Immortals for a good troop base, or fill out the scarab unit more (little buggers are so rediculously stupid).

Pretre: Are repressors assault vehicles? If they are, I'm gonna need emergency pants.
n0t_u: No, but six can shoot out of it. Other than that it's a Rhino with a Heavy Flamer thrown on if I remember correctly.
Pretre: Thanks! I guess my pants are safe and clean after all.
