Wondering Why the Emperor Left

I was wondering what’s everyones take on how the traitor primarchs and legion align, we Know Guillemin Dorn and Lemman were buddies but how about amoung the traitors. Lorgar and Magnus seemed to like each other, apparently everyone loved Horus, Curze only got along with Fulgrim and Mortarion but given both became mutated chaos primarchs I doubt that lasted, the Iron Warriors hate every living thing they see including each other, so do the World Eaters.

What I think would be great is if we could have a book, short story or even just a lexecam explanation for what chaotic alliances we have in the eye of terror, in the 40th millennium I can see the Alpha Legion and the Night lords working together a lot, on account of both of them doing attacks deep within the Imperium either that or hating each other as rivals on account that the Alpha Legion wants recruits and the Night Lords want Terror.

I recall that Alpharius Omegon only met three other Primarchs: Horus, Guilliman, and Dorn. Alpharius only got along with Horus as Guilliman always talked him down and Dorn called him and his tactics unmanly/cowardly. I figured that was why Alpharius sided with Horus and that the prophecy of the Cabal was just the icing on the cake.

Currently? The Legions of Chaos don't exist as unified Legions anymore, unless one of the Daemon Primarchs or Abbadon decides it's time for a crusade. Whether an individual Alpha Legion Lord is in a stable alliance with a Night Lords band is independent of whether another Night Lords leader is locked in an eternal duel to the death with an Alpha Legion sorcerer on some Daemon world far within the Eye.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Also mind ya that Alpha legion is the one "chaos" legion isn't stuck in the Eye of Terror. And actually, word bearers are still a legion and arguably so are the death guard, night lords, iron warriors, and thousand sons. The word bearers have a habit of cutting down any of their own who try to go off and start a warband and the rest are fairly intact with minor splinters going off to do their own thing (Honsou FTW).

To be honest 40k chaos marines are pathetic. They are abominations. There are chaos marines who consider themselves Legion, whereas Lord Hurons men dont, they are just a renegade chapter ( astral claws) . The Night lords consider themselves Legion, and i know the Alpha Legion does. I'm going out on a limb but the < Black Legion > probably does as well.

Loyalties are funny for chaos, generally you hear about two main dominant Chaos Lords in 40k, Abbadon, and Huron black heart. There is also Manneus Drath, Lord of Iron Warriors, he holds the stronghold known as Brigannion Four.

When they call upon your services you generally accept right away for promised spoils of war like promethium, and gene seed from vaults that your going to raid, or other tech. But even then your not truly allies, in 40k CSM are more bent on internal destruction then fighting the imperium, all lords or rising champions either want to de-throne their current warband lord and become the leader themselves, or betray everyone else on the same mission to get all the goodies for themselves. This doesn't really work out so well for themselves. They can never seem no martial enough power to really fend of imperium forces, and they fail most of the time anyways, also a quick mention, in the 6th ed, I'm not sure Huron is a big player, his fleet gets obliterated by the silver skulls chapter. So the dominant face of CSM is the Warmaster Abbadon. Any minor chapter marines would ally with Abbadon.

Within the eye nobody is allies. The Daemon prince primarchs fight amongst themselves for planets and such all the time, there were large battles when they first got into the eye of terror as well.

"There is no escape from chaos, it marks us all."
"Only i can hear your prayers here my friend, and i'm afraid i will not answer them."
"It must be magnificent to see a planet writhe and scream to feel it compulse beneath your own feet, witness it dying with living eyes such marvelous spectacle, the skulls are my gift, in time perhaps i will share this gift with every living soul in the galaxy."

The book Eye of Terror is about an alliance between the worshipers of Khone and Tzeentch.

These new 6th ed allies make perfect sense.
