Hi all,

Over the weekend we were testing out the Transparent TubeTool from Masq-Mini, designed for making power cables, tentacles and similar conversion parts for your minis. It actually worked really well and so we can't wait to make up a load of cables for our Adeptus Mechanicus army.

The full review & guide is here:

Couple of sample pics:

Anyone else tried this out already? Think of any other good uses for the cables?

You could also use Bass strings or the E and A strings off a guitar. You could probably contact any local guitar shop and ask them if they have any broken strings you could take of their hands. I plan on trying this in the near future.

The one on GSI looks a little nicer but also cost a little more. As for the strings... if you wanna send me some that would be GREAT! but i just moved to turkey, dont speak the language yet and have NO idea where to buy guitar strings lol.

guitar strings used to be all we had, now that zinge does a specialised product (which is metal) his stuff is so much easier. this tool is pretty cool, too.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Neither, I used that technique over 6 years ago to make maggots and tenticles and I borrowed the idea from a magazine so I can't claim I did
So neither invented it, they just provided the the tools for an old technique.
The same can be done with Evergreen patterned plastic sheets that you can pick up it any hobby shop.

Not bad. May find a use for it in the future. But as also noted, adding another nice website to my repertoire thanks to you.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Or you can give up on bending stiff guitar string and save your precious greenstuff and make your own power cables with a paper clip, some simple jewelry wire and the technique I demonstrate here. Not to take away anything form the tool as it still looks great for monster tentacles...Many ways to skin a cat Great site also!
