Hey all,

Just wanted to post up the Thousand Sons I just painted. I have always wanted to do some Ushabti in a Tzeentch army, and I took that theme and expanded it to the rest of the army. I used quite a few Tomb Kings bits and kits to add flavor to the army, and some Dragonforge bases for a desert ruins feel.

Beautiful execution and theme. The sand drifts on the vehicles are an inspired touch, and contrast the blue tones wonderfully.

Those are twin Lightning Claw, or Lighting Claw combi Melta termies. Whichever you prefer. The eyepeices represent the combis.

What a great take on an old army! I love seeing creative touches like the sand and tomb kings bits. Beyond a great-looking army, it tells a story.

That blue is just beautiful as well, so vibrant. Are you using GW paints, or another?

That is some sharp looking blue! I've seen some damn fine Thousand Sons before and the beautiful blue aside, it's the sand drifts on the tanks that makes this stand head and shoulders above what I've seen.

I found a new thing - make the army BEFORE you reread the coresponding Horus Heresy book. Goes a long way to quelling that inevitable and unavoidable itch to make a corresponding army.

Just incredible. The colors at execution are immaculate. That blue tone is perfect for the thousand sons and it should really make them stand out on the table top. Your creativity with the vehicles in this army is unparallel to any thousand sons ive seen before. The land raider is definitely the focal point of the army and sand detail and shrine just look amazing. I love how the vehicles all appear to have emerged straight from the sand! I like everything about this army....nice work!
