I caved in and bought a copy of the Only War beta rules. I couldn't hold off finally being able to put the finishing touches to the Moles... so here's the first draft of them as an
OW regiment using just the rules from the book to see how close I can get to my vision of them. I suspect the answer is not very far... For the background you can either see my Guard thread (see my footer), or a thread someone else started with my fluff over on the
FFG forums
So. Draft 1, which is just the stuff from the rulebook.

Question 1 for H.B.M.C, or whomever... in the Regiment creation section I can't see anything about the favourite weapons for custom regiments, only the pre-made regiments. Where are they? Do I just pick two weapons and go with those?
Hmmm not tooooooo bad I suppose. Accustomed to crowds doesn't seem all that fitting, neither does the rather large +6
Ag, -3T, Navigate (Surface) or Sprint. I need to think about this one a bit and study the skills list a bit more.
My first thoughts would be to trade 9 points of
Ag and the -3T for +4T, +4S, -3
Ag . A bunch of miners that are used to zero-G aren't going to be all that agile when it comes to working in gravity based situations, but they will be tougher and stronger from all the gang fights that take place on Junos as well as the non-zero-G mining work.
Swap Navigate (Surface) for Navigate (Subterranean) as they aren't going to be spending much of their lives on the surface of a planet; but finding their way around tunnels that go in all directions will be far more confusing for normal people.
Swapping Sprint for Athletics makes sense as they are more likely to be agile than fast.
Lastly is Accustomed to Crowds. I can't think what this should be traded for. In my mind Junos isn't some bustling Hive, filled with billions of people. It's a small mining colony in dark tunnels with 10-20 million at best on the whole planet. They are, however, well versed in working/fighting in zero-g environments and are perfectly suited for boarding actions as well as tunnel fighting. I'm just not sure what skill or bonus would suit that...
