So... now we have 6th edition and the potential to make armies using two codexes, I want to hear your alliance ideas as well as the reasons why the two armies are allied. Basically, i want to hear your fluff

p.s. I'm still deciding on what I'm going to do

A joint inquisitorial operation. Never liked the idea of an "army" of OX or OM, so this suits me fine. (the deathwatch will be an "inquisitor" perdro, scouts and sternguard)

The Tyranids attack an isolated outpost on Verlos IV... finding no allies, they nonetheless eradicate all planetary life and move on.

I don't need allies.

During an invasion by a Chaos fleet of his homeworld, an abhuman psyker and his allies managed to fight against them successfully, and captured several. Over time, he managed to convince them that their devotion to Chaos was incredibly harmful to their own well-being. They repented of their former ways, and joined the fight against the other Chaos invaders.

Eventually, news of these supposedly converted traitors reached an Inquisitor, who sought to discover the psyker's secrets, to use them against enemies of the Imperium. The Inquisitor sent a force of Sisters of Battle to capture the psyker and return him to Imperial lines for interrogation. While trying to capture him, a battle erupted, and the Sororitas were defeated. Through the use of alien technology, many of them had their minds corrupted, and they betrayed the Ecclesiarchy, faking their deaths to avoid the torture that would result if they returned in their corrupted state. They pledged their allegiance to the psyker, and began to fight against the Chaos invaders alongside the reformed traitors.

Vanilla Space Marines and Sisters of Battle. And the custom fluff is something I've been working on for over a year, long before even rumors of Allies had started.

Anointed Dark Priest of Chaos

Well I havent played Chaos since 4th edition, but the coming plastic cultists and allies rules are making it really tempting to do so again.

Hypothtical army idea: Chaos cultist heavy force with Word Bearers elements that has Daemonic allies.

As many cultists as I can squeeze in (I love me some cult action), Some kind of Word Bearers "Dark Apostle"/chaos sorceror HQ, Daemon engines, chaos spawn, and some Khone daemons (I like the blood letter plastics and have never built/used any).

Still early, but that is my thought at present. It is gonna depend on how sexy the cultist models are...

All Female Dark Eldar force lead by a Matriarchy of commanders beyond politics, for-going dark eldar taboo and merging with an equally ambitious and powerful Farseer whom together want to see the revival of the Eldar as a race in opposition to the various ideals that sever there race apart.

In this I generally have remodelled farseer and warlocks as well as various eldar tech walkers etc modelled as if they were specifically made for dark eldar, pilots and such are all wearing dark eldar though the pilots and members of the eldar forces are painted with more lively flesh tone then those from my dark eldar.

The scheme itself is dark purple leather/undersuit with white plate armour tinged with a light purple energy-like edging. Generally to resemble or look like the merging of that of a craft worlds colours and the DE themselves.

A good deal of white to there look as to give reference to the white seers.

Dark Eldar & Traitor Guard:

An outer imperial colony is abandonned by theImperium, left to succumb to the powers of Slaanesh. However, before total chaos errupts on this world a DE pirate fleet (who hate slaanesh ofc) find this world. The DE archon offers the world's govenor a choice between the world falling to Slaanesh or accepting the DE aid in destroying the Slaaneshi threat, in trade for offering the world's IG force to the DE Archon for his own uses etc

The govenor accepts the DE's help and in return offers his allegiance to the archon. The archon uses the IG traitor army ( being a traitor force having been abandonded by the Imperium) with his DE to raid every planet/race they encounter. The IG traitors loot the world for resources whilst the life on these planets suffer at the hands of the DE

The Death Korps of Krieg continue their seige on Vraks but the battle has slowed to a crawl, and the supply lines have begun to wane. The forces of the traitors fight with mutants without a shred of humanity, and machines corrupt past even the maddest engineer's designs. When the times are dearest, Space Marines in Black Armor descend from the sky and begin to push forward the line, fighting and dying for every inch. After weeks the front line has been pushed to a defensible position and Marines cease their slaughter. The leaders of the Krieg Forces meet with the Legion's Master and are told a terrible story similar to their own, brother's destroyed to prevent corruption, and a goal of victory at any cost to regain honor in the Emperor's eyes. War machines from a time forgotten stomping past lines of Kriegsmen escorted by hundreds in pitch black armor and faces hidden by robes marching once more from Terra to accomplish a god's crusade.

Months later the Dark Angels arrive on Vraks, offering aid but with it an alternative motive. However they are too late, the Fallen are gone, and with them new allies on their quest for redemption.

Well, at least that's my idea.
