How do y'all think Elysians fared with the release of 6th?
I haven't gotten through the Big Green Book, but it seems like we got out mostly positive.
Deep Strike mishaps are a bit more lenient
All our Valks and Dettas can be run as flyers now, and with GW approved flyer rules, running thunderbolts and Lightnings isn't out of the question either.
Snap fire allows Sniper SWS and All our HWT's (which are incredibly important for a tank-less force) to fire off the deep-strike, meaning we don't have to DS a mile away as to avoid a next-turn charge.
New squadron rules means Tauros and DropSentinels can now be used effectively in groups.
Overall, I think it's a pretty nice change to a previously tough list.
Thoughts?

The reserve rules will shaft them. They can't 100% reserve so they have to have something on the board turn 1 or they'll auto-lose.

Meh; ground scanner teams and Tauros squadrons don't reserve. and even one squad of those with beacons is more than enough to ensure dependable reserves.
Side question;
Can flyers like valks and dettas start game in hover-mode?

Yeah you have to declare what mode they're in when they come in from reserves.

You also come in on turn 2 on a 3+ and turn 3 on a 3+ and then automatically on turn 4.

but do I have to reserve Valkyrie-platform flyers even if I start them in hover-mode? Or can they still alpha-strike as hovering flyers?

Flyers have to start in Reserves, no matter what mode they're in.
