Hi, one thing that I would definately change is to give all of your Grey Hunter squads Wolf Standards, it is really useful for what you pay.

In addition, on your second Rune Priest I would drop Tempest's Wrath and take either Murderous Hurricane or Living Lightning, you still don't have the same combination of powers so it's good. However, both of your Rune Priests have the same (lack of) wargear, so you are going to need to give one of them something. I would recommend giving the first Rune Priest Chooser of the Slain.

Hope this is useful.

i was under the impression that you can have different psyhic powers and it would be okay and you didnt need to add wargear.

IIRC they are 2 seperate categories. Your 2 Rune Priests have to be different in Wargear and Psychic Powers respectively, although I'm only 99% sure that this is the case. Even if it's not, Chooser is still worth taking.

it's decent.

questions.

What are the grey hunters riding in?
what are the termies riding in?

also, not enough AP1 and 2 stuff. 8 of them in entire army. If you run into termies, you are going to have a tough time killing stuff. In comparion my 1750 list has

3 Multi Meltas
6 melta guns
4 Plasma Cannons

5 more, with 3 of them going 24 and 4 of them being templates.

Also, with no transports for your dudes, if you run into a super shooty army...they are going to get shredded before midfield.

So, it's a cool list....but if you are going to play in a tourney with it, think about your potential opponents and such. Go wolves!

rune priest can't be identical is the only stipulation. As long as they have different spells he is fine. TBH If I recall correctly he could actually give one a melta bomb and one not and they would still be legal (although frowned upon).

How do you plan on getting from point A-B in a tournament setting?

I think the point is that he's foot slogging.

You think? His troops have a long ways to walk in a tournament setting to obj's...Hince why I asked the question to entice him to think about his decision of the lack of mobility.

No need to sarcastic. You do know foot slogging wolves are actually a powerful and potent build, right?

Yeah I feel that foot slogging now can be powerful if pulled off right.

I also truely thought that the psychic powers can be different, i mean by definition they are not identical. The only thing that does have to be different is the spells.
I would also detach the terminators into the grey hunter squads.

thats what i was going to recommend lol

Until the Meta switches over and adapts then you will be hard pressed to do well with this list. Most people are still in the 5th ed mindset of I MUST HAVE A PARKING LOT!!!
Once everything adjusts then this may be a solid build. and its great that you can just glance stuff to death. Makes Wolves even Scarier!

Your fine with the rune Priest the rule is to keep from having the same wargear layout ... If you don't add any wargrear then its not a problem

Its pretty simple

logan
rune priest w/divination powers. Always take the default one.

Aegis defense line

4 x 5 man wg squads w/termie with cml.

1 x 10 man wg squad with 2 x termies w/cml.

3 x 6 man lf squads with 5 x ml.

leaves 95 points for 19 combi plas.

I would peel one termie from the big squad to join logans lf squad along with the rp.

In one mission they all score.

The definitive answer: contrary to what the others are saying, your Rune Priests HAVE to be equipped with different wargear AND different psychic powers. If you want to do it on the cheap, give 1 a bolt gun and the other a bolt pistol.

I'd consider adding an additional Missile Launcher Long Fang to each of the squads as well (they can have 5 per squad + squad leader).

As for the Grey Hunters, they should have Wolf Standards if you can spare the points. Standards were great in 5th, they're even better now that it works on Overwatch. Personally, I'd rearrange things so they could be inside Rhinos, but then you'd have to get rid of your Terminators/a Grey Hunter/free special weapon so it might not be worthwhile. Rhinos are really not that much more fragile than before, things were pretty sad if you couldn't wreck an AV11/10 vehicle with 2-3 shots. Rhinos are still great for cheap mobility, use them to cover ground fast and don't worry whether they die the next turn.

Lost in the Warp....

For the tournament I am in, apparently I can take 2 army lists and run either one depending on the match up. So I guess I will be adding another list to look at, of course this will be different
This one will not be a footslogging list, I can now be more versatile against my opponent, choosing to be more mechanized or more "footsloggy"
Rune Priest Jaws of the World Wolf Living Lightning 100pts
Rune Priest stormbolter, Jaws of the World Wolf, Tempest Wrath 103pts
Rune Priest Wolf Tail Talisman, Jaws of the World Wolf, Murderous Hurricane 105pts
x4 Wolf Guard x4 Power Fists x4 Combi Melta 172pts
x1 Lone Wolf Terminator Armor, Thunderhammer Stormshield 85pts
x8 Grey Hunters, meltagun, wolf standard, mark of wulfen Rhino 185pts
x8 Grey Hunters, meltagun, wolf standard, mark of wulfen Rhino 185pts
x8 Grey Hunters, meltagun, wolf standard, mark of wulfen Rhino 185pts
x8 Grey Hunters, meltagun, wolf standard, mark of wulfen Rhino 185pts
x6 Long fangs x5 Missile Launchers x1 Razorback Twinlinked assault cannon 215pts
x5 Long Fangs, x4 Missile Launchers 115pts
x5 Long Fangs, x4 Missile Launchers 115pts

Automatically Appended Next Post:

The other idea i had for mechanized was this one so I would take the footslog list and either the one above or this one, similar but have some differences
Rune Priest Jaws of the World Wolf, Living Lightning 100pts
Rune Priest Jaws of the world Wolf, Murderous Hurricane, Wolf Talisman 105
x3 Wolf Guard x3 Combi meltas x3 Powerfists 129
x8 Grey Hunters x1 Meltagun x1 Wolf Standard x1 Mark of Wulfen, Rhino 185pts
x8 Grey Hunters x1 Meltagun x1 Wolf Standard x1 Mark of Wulfen, Rhino 185pts
x8 Grey Hunters x1 Meltagun x1 Wolf Standard x1 Mark of Wulfen, Rhino 185pts
x5 Grey Hunters x1 Flamer Razorback Twinlinked Plasma, Lascannon
x5 Grey Hunters x1 Flamer Razorback Twinlinked Plasma, Lascannon
x1 Land Speeder, Heavy Flamer, Multimelta 70pts
x1 Land Speeder, Heavy Flamer, Multimelta 70pts
x6 Long Fangs x5 Missile Launchers 140pts
x6 Long Fangs x5 Missile Launchers 140pts
x6 Long Fangs x5 Missile Launchers 140pts
some thoughts were to take Lone wolves instead of the landspeeders, instead of landspeeders drop a long fang with missile, and take 2 more razorbacks with Lascannon, Twinlinked Plasma.

It was written for 5th, but I'll have to update it for 6th soon. I like the Razorback Grey Hunters though, it gives you some protection for them to camp a backfield objective without being useless.

I would, they're cheap and can cause some havok. If you get rid of them though, that would give you nearly enough points for another 5-man squad of Grey Hunters....

I just played two test games, i will probably keep those two land speeders, the problem is how vulnerable they are when speeders are victory points
