I have just recently gotten into hordesa few weeks ago (with Trollbloods) for a beginner league and have bought the battlebox, Borka, DT Mauler, Fennblades and UA, Kreilstone bearer, Jannisa, and the

Skinner. My question for you all is where to go from here? I like the idea of a beast heavy army / tough brick but I am not sure if what I have supports that as many TB lists I have seen are not very simmilar

to what I was thinking would work. I hope someone with trolls can help me.

Well, I'd start with an Axer. He can give Rush to the Mauler which, along with Borka's feat, can send him flying upfield.

Next I'd add the support which will make your Fennblades shine - a Fellcaller and a Stone Scribe Chronicler. Fellcaller gives them pathfinder on non-mini-feat turns, buffs their MAT on the charge and picks them up from KD after they get hammered. Chronicler gives them concealment to protect against ranged and Hero's Tragedy which makes them incredibly annoying to your opponent.

The Axer and 2 Impalers come in the battlebox along with pMadrak. The fellcaller and chronicler sound very good though, Thanks.

If you're running beast-brick with Janissa, I'd consider an Earthborn.

The problem with Beastbrick is that it can be a very static force.

The good thing?: ARM 22 Earthborns and/or Maulers!

(ARM 23 Mulg, if you're into that kind of thing)

I would prefer a slightly more mobile list but still tough.

I played against a list the other day that has Janissa and an EBT. It was passably quick - not as quick as the Legion list that got jammed across the table later that day, but the trolls were still on me earlier than I had hoped.

Yea, I have heard good things about the EBT, and that type of list is what I want, not a brick, but still fairly robust.

I suggest getting an EBT and unit of Champions. The Earthborn does fantastic damage, and the Champions do great. They can be left on their own and still do a decent job at killing whatever you need them to. Damage output for the EBT is limitless. Since you have a Mauler, the EBT will really work. Have them swap animi and you're looking at a Str 15 Troll that can have his power increased beyond 3 with a weapon in his melee range. An Axer also really synergies well with almost any Dire Troll. Hope this helps.

The EBDT's elemental communion rule can be used in conjunction with rough terrain to boost his speed, which I think is his most useful attribute.

With Kegslayer's feat turn, he could get a fairly impressive charge assuming he's near rough terrain and you Rush him. The only risk is leaving Borka's Control Range! But it's not like he's worried about getting in the enemies face.
