I'm somewhat of a longtime first-time here. I've been interested in Warhammer 40K since the change from 4th to 5th and I have been coming to dakka ever since. What with 6th coming out I figure it's the perfect time to get re-energized. Even though I've been collecting models for a few years now I've never painted an entire army or even played a full game. Those are two things I hope to change in the near future.

I tend to be more of a fluff nut than anything else. I'm somewhat of a bibliophile in that regard. When it comes to which armies I play I guess I worship at the alter of Phil Kelly I've collected Orks, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar. Except for Wolves I don't really have enough in the way of models to play a full game. I'm hoping to collect more Dark Eldar and Orks to flush out my armies.

Anyway, I'm hoping that starting a painting blog will keep me motivated as well as show off my painting skills, as bad as they are

If it's motivation, might I suggest the Skyrim soundtrack? Perfect modeling/painting music for a 30 minute session. Sit down like that once a week and you will be surprised how good you get.

It's funny you say that because my brother just got me all 4 seasons of Breaking Bad so I actually have something that will keep me occupied for a while. And since I had to send the monitor back for the new computer I just built I'll have a lot of time to kill.
