I am just building my first set of Space Marines but I can't get the shoulder pads to click in. They sit loosely and fall off with no effort. I'm using the models that you just click together, can anyone help, it's the only thing I can't get on.

You know Warhammer is getting to real when you being using 40K swears, for example "fug" and "Emperors Hairy Arse!" When writing this the word arse was not recognized, well done.

Thanks, but I managed to get one to click in but the rest won't, I'm using the click together ones but looks like I'll need to get some glue no matter what.

Some pics of the offending model/s in question might be helpful. The only marine models that are push together (currently) are the ones in the Assault on Black Reach starter kit. And all you have to do with those ones is attach the gun. Everything else is comes in one piece. All other marine kits need to be glued together.

By the sounds of it it would appear that you have manged to wedge a shoulder pad on and it hasnt come loose yet. But aside from that im at a loss. Again, pictures would be handy if you have them.

I'll have to resort to glue but I got the Games Workshop Starter Kit, it has 5 Dark Angel Space Marines that came all separate except for the head, torso and legs, here's a link to it hope it helps in some way. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat470005a&prodId=prod1490027a

So the paint set models actually are in multiple components that are different from AoBR. Very interesting ruminations for the Starter Set I foresee.

Wish I only needed to attach the gun make this so much easier, but no backpack, gun and shoulder pad need to be added and adding one makes an other fall off. So much fun.

It's already being discussed in another thread, but yes.
These are indeed the new starter set marines. They're currently only available inside the painters starter set.
