Army Name: Blaize 35 points Mk.I
Cygnar
33+6 points, 23 models

Constance Blaize  +6 points
* Gallant  9 points
* Stormclad  10 points
* Squire  2 points

6 Precursor Knights  5 points
* Precursor Knight Officer & Standard  2 points
Stormblades  5 points
* Stormblade Officer & Standard  3 points
* 3 Stormblade Storm Gunners  3 points

I've got 2 or 3 (if I drop a Storm Gunner) points left to spend on a Solo to go with this list. The problem is I honestly can't decide which to use. I don't really need my go to guy, Strangewayes, since both jacks get free focus from units. So what do you folks think? Who will give me the best bang for my buck in this sort of "In your face... And, no, your evil spells don't work on me." list?

Harlan Versh is what you're looking for, though he's a bit less "in your face" and a bit more "shoot you in the face for using magic".

Plus, he's a Morrowan model and thus can help fuel Gallant.

That's kind of the kicker. Runewood gives Pathfinder and +2 on charge attacks. But Harlan can do some serious damage to spell protected targets.

Much thought required. If only I didn't feel so dirty every time I considered using Gorman.

Look at the amount of infantry you have, you bring the Archduke. Cygnar doesn't have many opportunities for pathfinder, so you will have something to buff every turn. Also +2 on charge attack rolls? Yes please, every time, because all of sudden those pesky Cryx Bone Chickens that are Defense 14-15? You hit them much easier and kill them easier.

I like strangeways and all, just see him as kinda useful in most games, compared to an always useful Archduke for your list. Gorman falls into always useful as well, he is such a pain you can even stick him out there for bait and opponents have to go after him

I am going to go with Runewood. He's just too useful and effective. Hell, he's probably the only Cygnar solo who can get an advantage from Constance's Transference spell. Not that I'd waste 3 Focus, but it's an option.

Are you going towards a tier list? I'm unfamiliar with this caster but I'd go with Reinholdt! He's useful with 90% of casters.

Or failing that, drop in 2-3 Stormsmiths. Always useful, often overlooked.

Not this one. Pure melee.

I played a game using Connie and the lads with Versh as the final two points. Gobbled up a Menoth army run by pSeverius in 2 turns.

Versh killed a Choir boy. So I think next game I will drop a Storm Gunner to be able to afford Runewood. Pathfinder would have allowed me to do more than get lucky and zap pSeve with a very lucky pair of Storm Thrower shots. Yes, I know that part was lucky enough. But I'd have been happier if I'd been able to get closer to the enemy with the Blades.
