OK, so with the inability to assault out of reserves, FNP and cover being a 5+, and only being able to reserve half of your army, I think it's safe to say that webway portal lists are pretty ineffective now. Of course, the only reason I was looking to start playing Dark Eldar was because of this series of articles http://www.frontlinegaming.org/2012/04/27/thoughts-on-dark-footdar-part-1/
It was going to let me use the units and models that I like most from the codex, and I found a pretty good deal on some of them, so now I need to figure out what else I need to flesh out the force. So that being said, what would you do with these units?

Have Already:
2x5 Scourges
Beast Unit
10 Wracks

Really, Really Wanted to Use:
Talos Pain Engine
Grotesques

Cool units I wouldn't be opposed to adding:
Vect
Drazhar
Archon
Incubi
Voidraven

Allies?
Farseer and Pathfinders? Pathfinders are easy to fit in, but where to put the farseer. Sure he can join DE units, but he still can't ride in their transports.

So I'm all kinds of stuck here. What would y'all do? I honestly have no idea where to begin.

Take a big brick of Grotesques. Add a haemonculus and a Farseer with 2 Divination powers. Shoot a bunch of dark lances at everything S10 your opponent has. Run forward. Cast Prescience (and Forewarning if you got it), and hurl your hulks of mishapen flesh into your opponent's army. Not being able to assault when you arrive from the portal hurts, but coming out of the portal and standing there to get lit up at short range is even worse, so I'd ditch the portal entirely and focus on running across the board and relying on big blocks of wound soaking grotesques.

change the talos to the other engine and give the wracks liquifer guns and you have the alt wwp list that people have been theory crafting. its generally tough enough that it can still come through the portal.

other wise, deep strike the scourges, send beasts up flanks and use raiders to ferry your zombies. the raiders wont make it far but you can move 6 inches from a wreck, they are pretty tough and you get nice over from the flat out.

Why the Chronos instead of the Talos?

With the haemonculi wracks become troops. Should I load up on wracks for troop choices or add in some warriors or wyches? I do like the idea of running a haemonculi coven with wracks as troops and grotesques as the heavy hitters.
Maybe a couple 5 strong wych squads for vehicle hunting with haywire grenades.

Best Dark lance sources to support this kind of list? Trueborn with blasters in venoms? A couple razorwing jetfighters?

There's also a non-traditional list that a friend of mine uses.

It's something to the tune of;

three haemonculi with no wargear (I believe)

Three bulky squads of Grotesques, between 5-8 strong. I think my friend used 7, but I'm not 100% positive.

2-3 minimalist squads of Wracks. 3 guys each, held in reserve and used to sit on objectives and hope they don't get shot.

3x beastpacks, with lots of khymerae and razorwing flocks.

Vehicles are easier to bust in close combat than before, beasts are faster and grotesques have always been kind of terrifying to anyone who didn't have strength 10 weapons. I don't know how it would do in a competitive tourney enviroment, but I can personally attest to how good it is in a friendly gameplay enviroment. Grotesques and Beasts just... brutalize things.

Grots either need to be in groups of 4 to fit in a raider or in groups of 7+ to make the IC cheaper.

I think a bunch of grots and talos can really benefit from some pathfinders and eldrad. Snipe out str10 or even str8, psykic powers to confuse before you charge and eldrad to reposition d3+1 units. So you can change your setup if it looks like you need to slog too much.
