The reason I ask.is because I have 2 Honour Guards with Relic Blades (Axes) and a Vulkan conversion who has a Halberd, which is an Axe as per BRB and it is a Relic blade via the Codex. However, as they always strike at Str 6, they don't benefit from the +1 Str and onlt get AP2 in return for Int 1. I was hoping that because Relic blades have an additional rule (Strike at Str 6) they are unusual PWs and therefore are Int 4/4)5 and AP3.

Apparently they now have new rules via iPad digital codex. They are Str +2, AP3. I think they are also now two-handed as well, but I do not know the full rules for them.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

They were always 2 handed.
But I am interested in this new ruling on Ipad. It doesn't seem to appear on the FAQ.

You'll find some people who disagree with them always being two-handed. The people who claim they were not, justify their stance with seeing the first part (where it says they are two-handed) as fluff. As it is not everything in the digital codex is in the FAQ.

Relic Blades are Unusual Powerweapons.
Their statline is Melee S+2 AP3 Twohanded.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

Yeah, they have a special rule that is unique to Relic Blades(+2Str) hence they are unusual PWs.
If they only had USRs then they would fall under normal PW classifications.

What difference does it make, you can't get the bonus attack from wielding them with another weapon, that's definitely not fluff, so what value is there in arguing that the two-handed statement is just fluff?

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

With the release of 6th edition it is moot however in 5th edition the argument was as such
Model is equipped with a power weapon, relic blade, and pistol.
If relic blade is a two-handed weapon, you could decide to use the relic blade, or use the power weapon/pistol and gain an extra attack.
If the relic blade was not two-handed, then you must decide to use either the relic blade or power weapon and would never get a bonus attack.
With the release of 6th edition, you can have 7 different one-handed special CCWs and as long as they did not have a special rule denying it (for that given weapon) you'll always get a bonus attack.

Almost, their stat line is Melee S6 AP3 Two-handed.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
