Fellow Meks, what I am about to present to you is highly top-secret (Except for the title of this thread). I wish to create a squig/squid/robot hybrid monster that swims... ON LAND!!! MWA HA HA! I would love to see suggested names for this beast please post below. My idea for a name would be Da Great Land SQUIDDoth! Boo Yah! Terrible word play! Top that!

									Here's a base:
http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1180080_Ork_Datasheet_-_Submersible.pdf Perhaps model the squid's beak as a drill of some sort, then instead of an aquatic entry, it pops up from the ground!

To make it better, have it come in from reserve, but stay underground (it just arrived under the battlefield). Then, each turn, roll a D6 , on a 4+, it pops up from the ground.

Perhaps as an added effect, when it pops up, the ground it has passed through (since coming in from reserve) becomes difficult terrain as the tunnel collapes and every model that was on top of the tunnel (friendly or not) takes a hit of SD6 (that's the impact from falling down into the tunnel.

Hmmm... clever. iwas thinking the top of its head would be the drill, and its mouth could be the 'exhaust' of some kind of furnice *koff koff super one use flamethrower koff koff*. Food for thought. And I like terrain and way it comes to the battlefield ideas. I thought of a new name the L.A.N.D (Large Arse-kicking Nuclear Destroyer) Squiddoth. note: squiddoths are a sub-species of squig that are big, look like squids, and are big.

Well, the reason I started this thread was because i wanted to a group project. But, some weapons might be...
Big Flamethrower
 Possible Drill Weapon
and some kind mumbo-jumbo with its armor.
In my personal opinion, I wpuld rather have more ways to hurt people than good armor.

True, true, but you have to consider the "close combat weapon" is 8 flailing arms.

 |
so how about WS 5 but because it is 8 arms/attacks and there flailing randomly, they always hit on a 4+ as well as you have the option to take less attacks and you get to reroll 1 dice for every less one you take, for example, you attack, you only take 6 attacks, you roll a 4,5,5,4,2,1. but because you took 6 instead of 8 you have two rerolls so the 2and 1 get rerolled to a 4,5 then you have 6 hits there

Hmmmm... to toss my hat in here, I would suggest that because only half of the vehicle is visible at a time, the vehicle itself can only suffer ever suffer a glancing hit since all the explosive stuff are kept below the ground. Toss on 4 hull points (it's supposed to be massive), and only make it armor 12 all around.
As for the "big sweep attack idea" how about instead we do this-

Flailing tentacles- The Git-skweeza's tentacles are a massive flailing ball of fury that people are afraid to get too close to. During the shooting phase the git-skweeza may use a special flailing tentacles attack. All units that have a model within 12" of the Git-skweeza suffer D6 S5 hits AP- hits. Vehicles are hit on the armor facing that is in a straight line from the center of the git-skweeza model. However such is the difficulty of shooting through this writhing mass of tentacles, all shots from the git-skweeza's weapon are snap shots. A unit that is hit must immediately take a Morale test, if they fail they count as pinned until the end of their next turn, models that are picked up and flailed by the tentacles are unable to do anything after all!
