Irked Necron Immortal

Having just finished putting together my first Doom Scythe, I've decided it's by far the best Necron model I've assembled to date. It's solid, the pieces snapped together well, and it looks cool to boot! Plus, I didn't have to spend an hour putting together the cockpit (which seems to be a recurring problem with Necron vehicles....)
What's everyone else's favorite model to assemble?

I would probably have to agree that the Night Scythe was by far the easiest Necron model so far.

Are we counting conversions? Or just the out of thbox model? I would say Imperial Guardsmen turned into veterans with awesome and fun kit bashing.
Out of the box probably either the chaos terminator lord or the imperial guard command squad.. so...many...options

I'm throwing my hat in the ring for the Killa Kans Kit; krazy amounts of bitz, a pure joy to assemble, and fun models on the field to boot!

TBH, I like building Rhinos.
Yes they're boring and the casts are not the greatest/consistent ones ever, but god can I assemble them like a mad man.
I think the fastest I built a Rhino was 20 minutes. It's almost a mind-clearing exercise to me.
EDIT: Since we're also including things we hate to build, I dislike building Necrons. They're very boring design wise, all look exactly the same, have no options for individualization, and their guns are pain to put together.

I loved putting together my storm talon, not to mention to looks awesome, i might even break my cardinal rule a field this guy unpainted. Worst? Flipping land speeders, built two, they are evil incarnate. I build one from a regular box, one from the ravenwing. Raven wing was the WORST. Built a storm though, went together like a dream

I have a lot of fun putting together sentinels. Not only are they a great model/kit, but posing them them the right way is a fun and challenging endeavour.

I have put together hundreds of Marines so I think that's probably up there...it's almost a theraputic exercise for me at this point. I HATE putting together any necron model, as they are often incredibly flimsy and difficult to manage.
I do enjoy space marine vehicles though, having put together a few dozen I can say that the only one that I found to be a real pain are the drop pods. All of my land raiders have been a labor of love though (I have three)

I love building Black Templars with CCWs and Bolt Pistols. They got their templar bits on them and they look downright epic!
|
Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.

Dreadnoughts. I just love the kit and they way they fit together. Plus you can just dry-swap the weapon options without the need for magnets.
On the bad side are drop pods. They are so hard to get together right. Even the picture on the back of the box is mis-assembled. Hate, hate hate. I also hate the fact that I need to get one more at some point so I can have a 3rd for rounding up on drop pod assaults.

I'm actually partial to putting together Tau Fire Warriors. The kit is surprisingly dynamic and allows for a wide array of poses without the need for any conversion at all.
Of the kits I've put together, the new Necron Immortals with Gauss Blasters are a massive pain. I ended up just doing a simple conversion to remove the cable that runs from the body to the gun so that I didn't have to spend an hour trying to get it to line up.

I used to love putting togethor Dire Avengers. The pieces all feel perfectly round so you can move their arms into any position you want and they still look fluid smooth. Then the torso glued really well intothe legs, and the heads always fit perfectly.
Plus the shuriken catapults just felt satisfieing.

I to very much enjoyed the sentinel kit. I would have filled an entire fast attack with them if they hadn't raised the prices. The Valkyrie is super fun also.

Carnifex. I was actually pleased that lots of the options are now redundant, as it lets me give them all kinds of crazy gak! In fact, most plastic Tyranid monsters are pretty cool. Warriors are great to assemble as well, but swines to paint.
The worst? The metal Hive Tyrant. Gaps, warping, flash, spiky bits, vents, not fitting together properly, and so damn top heavy...

Pretty much all tanks. I had a blast building my magnetized Leman Russ Demolisher/Punisher/Executioner.
The worst model would be any metal models with plastic bits, especially third edition Hive Tyrant. I had the wrong type of glue back then, and man did I struggle with those Scything Claws...

The Carnifex model is downright brutal looking, and there's no way to not make it look brutal. While some of the peices could have fit a little better, building that model is fantastic.
