So I was tossing a few ideas around for IG with the new rules. With snap-fire I was thinking possibly putting a missile launcher into vet squads might help, and I saw somewhere someone said stormtroopers might make a comeback and be useful. I was hoping someone around here might help me flesh these ideas out as I havent had the chance to play a 6th Ed match yet as IG.

Giving your BS4 models a heavy weapon so they can snap fire it seem kind of a waste. If you are going to spend the points premium for vets, might as well make use of their extra BS. Leave the moving and snap-firing heavy weapons to the guardsmen.

It depend on how you run your army, I'd personally give my chimeravets a ac since theyre going to be stationary at least a few times. However thats how i use vets, as an armored gunline. Same with stormtroopers, when i run foot guard I ran plasma storm troopers who drop down and clean off an objective. Then the enemy has to allocate resources to taking it back.

I was contemplating that with the storm troopers, but I wasnt sure.
Generally speaking though if my vets are in anything I try to make it a Vendetta, however, I could just scoot them up slowly with a chimera as well I suppose. I was just thinking with the direction things seem to be going in a ML with them might help, although I could see an ac doing better. I'll just stick my MLs with my platoons and maybe bring a AC with every 3rd vet squad I make.
