So my Valkyrie's base is a bit warped and wobbly and I was wondering what would be a good way to add some weight to it and stabilize it some. It seemed like most of the info about weighting bases was for the small round bases. Anyone have any particular suggestions?

Coins, or metal washer rings. Glue them or green stuff them to the underside of the large oval flying base. Also, if the base is warped green stuff or filler can be used to create a flat surface.

The best way to weight the base in my view is to do a properly scenic base. The thing has so much space that it cries out to be filled, e.g.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I second the scenic base, go and liberate some slate from someones front garden, the little bits (probably best to do it at night) alternatively buy a 10kg bag from any garden centre. A small piece of slate is quite heavy and would probably be enough to weigh the base down and look really good!

Well I got some large washers to glue under the base, but I'm probably going to go with the scenic idea as well. I don't have much experience with basing, especially not one so big, so I guess it'll be something of an experiment.

I use ballast.

Actual large chunks of gravel. Gives a suitably rocky look and weight and stops it falling over or going anywhere I don't want it to.

I live not far from a rail line (it's literally across the road). A few flat bits 2-3" across come in handy (especially since the way it tends to be flaked, it tends towards either a triangular cross-section or relatively flat - so adhering it to a base is easy).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Yup. Garden shale / slate stolen from a garden on the way to my kids school. Grab a couple of chunks, smash one up with a hammer for small bits (messy - do outside!) and you're sorted for slate basing.
