So I have recently started an
IG army. I'll post the list somewhere else, as all that matters right now is how to model them. I'm running a mech-vet list, about four squads of vets in chimeras with stormtrooper backup. I believe the theme I'm going with is a hostile-environment world's PDF, I've bought two cadian boxes and a command box, so I could get the juicy bits found within, but I'm struggling with the meat and potatoes of the army. My issue is that I strive for uniqueness, but I don't go so far as to sculpt my army from scratch. I've thrown a lot of ideas around in my head and a few things have stuck with me.
1. I love these heads

2. I really like the Bretonnian Men-at-Arms bodies, especially with the above heads.
3. I'd rather like to stick with mostly
GW product, headswaps are about as far as I want to go.
4. I don't like the look of traditional gas-masks that most people seem to like on their
IG
Now I've seen some conversions with cadian arms+Bret bodies. They either involve hacking the sleeves off of the bret bodies and slapping cadian arms there, or tie-hacking the cadian arms INTO the bret sleeves. I'm okay with either, but I think the second idea looks better. Those sleeves are badass. So my issue is this: I like the Bret bodies, but do these heads offer enough uniqueness to really apply them to the whole army? Would I be better off just using bret bodies with the default heads/cadian heads? Or would something better work in place?
And how would I model bret-stormtroopers? Will my bret bodies+arm-swaps limit the amount of customizability I have in the army as far as poses and such go?
