Depending on how you define a killer DM, yes and no. Am I trying working against my players yes, and I going to be a dick about it no. I want them to have a fun challenging experience. For example would I have them die if they slip on a banana peel, no. Would I have them die from an ambush, yeah, but with that said it depends on how they handle the situation. There are three ways I break it up A: They trying to act smart and fight off the ambush, if so I might show some flexibility. B: They aren't acting particularly smart or stupid, I got with what is rolled. C: If do they do something really really stupid, they deserve what they get.

Maybe the odd occasion when I was younger. These days we hardly have combats. More conflict is worked out via diplomacy than actual fights.

When fights do happen they tend to be almost more of a display than a huge swath of combat rolling.

Of course it does depend on the setting. In Werewolf the Apocalypse I am much more militant, and folks have died many times as thats the nature of the game, although I am still interested in the story 80%

The story can't continue and grow if you butcher the player the first chance you get.
I've had more last minute saves, misses when they where hits, and general 'bad guy' foul ups than I can remember. Some would have issue with that, although in general, I found the journey was more interesting, and the adventures of the group.

I have been given the impression from previous players, my style was greatly liked from numerous groups. (Probably introduced/played with around thirty to forty of different players over the years.)

My style hasn't changed much since I left AD&D behind in the mid nineties.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I have no problem killing off people/characters as and when required, either through dice rolls in combat/etc or plot points.

Aye, I'd agree on plot points. Had a wonderful last stand moment in an old Werewolf game.
