Right now I was thinking of adding a unit of TWC to my Blood Ravens as allies because the models are awesome. I already know what troops I will be using, Grey Hunters ( 10 man). There is no reason for me to take Bllod Claws.
However, I am not sure on what Wolf Lord equipment I should use. I am torn between
TDA, twin Wolf Claws
Thunderwolf, Frost Axe, Storm Shield, Runic Armour.
In both case I would have a Wolf Tooth Necklace (not wolf tail talisman as I wrongly stated) And a saga of some kind but am.not sure what one.
Could you guys help? Generallu, I want a CC monster "I kill all!!!! RAAGHH!" type guy. Who could beat the daylights out of rival characters in a challenge without breaking a sweat.

2+ is better for when he takes mass bolter fire. Its a shame the Iron Priest isn't an IC, you could pair him an his 4 wolves with the Lord an his 2 an attach them to a squad of 15 fenrisian wolves, you would have 21 wolves .

To be honest I like the look of that with the exception that I would rather have an Axe than.hammer, purely for aesthetics.
If I were to take that Wolf Lord, I would need to use one of the TWC models to avoid forking out a lot extra for him.
So here is what I am thinking for the allied detachment. Bear in mind I am.not sure if these are legal loadouts so if nothing checks out just lemme know.
Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf
Frost Axe
Storm Shield
Runic Armour
Wolf Tooth Necklace
Saga of the Bear
9 10Grey Hunters
Plasma gun x2
Power Fist
Wolf Claw (x2 if allowed)
2 TWC with 1 Thunder Hammers, frost Sword, Plasma Pistol and 2 Storm Shields

I like the loadout of the Lord, pretty close to what I run
For 2 Plasmaguns you would need 10 Grey Hunters, you could only get wolf claws in there if you took a squad of Wolf guard. You could put a Mark of the wulfen in the Grey Hunters, I found that 1d6 +1 (or +2 if you charge/get counter charge) rending attacks can get nasty fast
Also you can only take 1 Thunderhammer with the TWC.
Otherwise I like the squads you put together

Oops, typo. I was going to have 9 GH with 1 gun and a Lone Wolf with TH/SS, but realised the kits don't come with enough bits..So 10.GH.
In regards to CCW, what can I have? Is it a single weapon?
Also editing the TWC.

If you want to run the lone wolf in power armour you have a hammer and a shield in the grey hunters box, so no problem in doing so^^
Regarding CCW, do you mean for the TWC? You can either have 1 frost axe/blade,1 wolf claw, 1 thunderhammer or 1 powerfist per unit.

Ah, ok. You can either take a power fist or a power weapon, and addition to that the Mark of the Wulfen.

Great. I am.not sure about MotW as I want to keep cost down after the basics (special weapons, power fist) and I don't really want to have tobmodel a mark.

Understandable, it can also get a bit tricky with positioning with the new wound allocation if you have too much special stuff you want to protect.
I personally just like it very much, it can do very great at times, so I wanted to make sure to mention it^^

Don't take the Wolf Tooth Necklace on your wolf lord. You'll already hit almost everything on a 3+ anyway (your opponent would need WS6 for you to need a 4+), so it's a waste of 10 points for what it gets you. Think about how expensive your wolf lord already is.
Also...Consider how you plan to use your wolf lord. Are you going to use him to trash your opponents troops, or are you going to use him in challenges as a character killer? Saga of the Bear is best for killing characters, but consider Saga of the Warrior Born if you want to use the wolf lord to wreck big units.
I personally like to take a wolf guard pack leader with my grey hunters and give him the power fist, but I know you're limited in your allied FOC. The power fist is cheaper for the WG pack leader and he has 2 attacks with it instead of just 1. Overall, I think MotW and a standard is better than one powerfist.

Fair point with the WTN.
Seeing as.you get 10 SW in a Pack,.maybe make 5 as GH and 5 as WG?

You could certainly do that. The box has lots of good bits for wolf guard. But what I meant was is that if you take even one Wolf guard model (to be a pack leader for your grey hunters), then you have to take at least 3 and they eat up an elites spot on your allies force org. chart. What would you do with the other two left over? A unit of 2 models is too small to be effective and is an easy kill point for your opponent.
No. I think you're better off taking 10 grey hunters, with 2 plasmaguns and instead of a power fist, take a wolf standard and MotW. you don''t have to get fancy with the modeling of the mark. Just paint a tattoo on his face - as per the codex, that is acceptable WYSIWYG. Or actually it would be to me, but now that I think about it I'm going to look in YMDC.

Wolf Guard is an Elite Choice. You split off models from the Wolf Guard unit to act as Squad Leaders. The minimum model count is 3. So if you had 1 Grey Hunter squad and wanted to tack on a Wolf Guard Pack Leader you would have 2 other Wolf Guard sitting around.
For the allied detachment an Iron Priest for the elite spot decked out with a Thunderwolf and Cyberwolves doesn't sound too bad to be honest. Never take them as a Space Wolf player as there are more important things to be taking, but as Allies...

Iron Priests and techmarines don't really interest me TBH. I would much rather have Wolf Guard. And if I were to take 5 Wolf Guard, one to lead GH, that would leave a squad of 4. IIRC SM and SW are battlebrothers? So my Captain or Chapter Master or whatever could lead the WG.
Though truth be told I do want to keep points on allies minimum to spend them on.my main detachment, so I think I'll just go with GH, 2 TWC and the Wolf Lord.

IMO any time a model has an initiative of 5 or better its a shame to bring it any lower.
Myself I'd run this.
Lord
Thunderwolf
Frost Blade
Runic Armor
Bolt Pistol
Belt of Russ
Wolf Tooth Necklace
Saga of Bear
The 3+ inv save isn't as important because of EW and the fact the guy has 3 wounds. He is S6 and has 7 attacks on the Charge/counter charge at I5. Enough to put a dent into most anything.
Or you can just be selective about your targets and go with Saga of the warrior borne and change out the FB/BP for a paired set of Wolf Claws. This guy will generate an obscene number of attacks if you throw him into a large enough unit.

I go with:
TWM
TH/SS
Runic
Saga of the Bear
AP2 is awesome right now and having some S10 is important. You need the SS against Powerfists and Lascannons. He is dead hard.

Wow you guys like expensive wolf lords. I stay away from them because they eat up so many points and they only pay for themselves in CC.
If I was going give you my $0.02 on what to take, I would say this
Get one box of Space Wolves. That's enough to build 10 dudes in power armor. Convert one to be your wolf lord (forget TWC - way too expensive both pointswise and $ wise). Convert another to be another character - your choice, but I like rune priests. Build the other 8 guys as grey hunters and then get either a land raider or a Rhino. Both characters join the unit and now you've got a death star. or if not a death star, it's still one really tough unit that can claim an objective.
How you trick out the wolf lord is up to you and depends on what you want him to do. I like to use him to kill characters. Go with a storm shield and a frost blade, saga of the bear - maybe runic armor, but nothing else. For your next character you either want a
rune priest (we know what he does),
or a wolf priest - (makes the squad fearless and gives them preferred enemy infantry which is awesome now.) with saga of the hunter.
or a WGBL with saga of the warrior born.
As for wargear, keep it simple. The Rune priest doesn't need anything. Maybe give the wolf priest a plasma pistol. For the WGBL, give him a thunderhammer or powerfist.

TWC are well worth every point. A TWC lord with two TWC buddies (400 or so points) will eat through half of your opponent's army sometimes.

I actually don't even run a lord in my current list. I've chosen to let Arjac act as my heavy hitter. I do have a single Rune Priest as my only HQ choice so he gets the roll on the Warlord tables.
But I run a drop pod / mechanized list so a Thunderwolf lord just doesn't fit, and any other type of build just seems to be overcosted to charge out of a drop pod.
I think Wolf Lords need to either go big or go home, there are other ways and cheaper too to get models with just average killing ability.

While Ibreally appreciate the imput guys, I do want to limit my expenditure. My main reason for.using SW is because I want TWC and they are awesome. So by getting a pack.of 3, 2 can be TWC and 1 can be a lord.
Also, a ten pack of Grey Hunters are solid, dependable troops that can hold my objectives or be my assault troops.
