The removal of difficult terrain made these guys decent to play again. They had a decent performance in my last game.

Add in Grotsnik for +1 charge attack, feel no pain and purchase cyborg bodies.

grotsnik doesn't grant anyone +1 attacks when charging. I think you are confusing his "one scalpel short of a medpak" rule with the rage USR.

rage = +2A on charge no movement penalties

medpak = fearless always no +attacks and must move as fast as possible torwards nearest enemy

the other nice thing about them is they are not characters, so you you can always count on full beatdown, or it could be a negative since it also prevents them from protecting the mad dok.

im always hoping the dok dies... so the MANZ can sit on an obj after winning whatever combat he dies in. ha.

he always lives long enough to dragthem away from anything they were supposed to do, aside from be dead-killy.

back of BRB lists nobs as characters, but not meganobs.

so from what I understand, and have been playing by is... that meganobs do not benefit from look out sir, cannot be challenged, and do not get precisions shots/strikes

precision strike power claws x 10 put that in your pipe and smoke it. It may have been intentionally done that way to prevent some pretty BS stuff from going down.

Mega-Armored Nobz are not Nobz, just like Heavy Bolters are not Bolters.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

Great catch. Thanks for pointing it out. I play against Orks fairly frequently, but just from this thread I learn two important things. Mad Dok does not have Rage, and the Meganobs are not characters. Thanks guys!

and yes, skyfi - this means they do not benefit from those rules.

Well, living in a world of nob bikers, and paladins... it's not that crazy to think they'd do it. I'm almost stunned they aren't.

So here is what I am thinking for Meganobz in a 1500-1850ish game.

Mad Dok, 6 MegaNobz all Cybork in a Battlewagon.with red paint.

28 S9 PK attacks on the charge. Not to bad for dealing with a problem.

i run 5 meganobz with the dok and a MA warboss and warboss breaks off to kill something else whenever they jump outta da wagon

works nice

i put 4 big shootas a rolla armor plates riggers red paint etc on the wagon though. that way if it survives them hoppin out and charging its still a viable target to detract fire from the dok n crew?

edit: well aside from the dok not dying sometimes and meganobs never capturing an objective >.<

No, his "One Scalpel Short of a Medpack" prevents that.

Flash gitz would be ridiculously good as characters though. Maybe finally worth taking.

Called shots ignoring cover and probably armor nonetheless.
