I am trying to choose a Warhammer 40k army, which will be my third, and I have come up with two choices: Tyranids or Dark Eldar. I need help choosing which, so please give me help with feedback and opinions please!

Well what do you like and dislike about the two?

i think that you should get dark eldar because they are fast and good in close combat so you would get to the enemy and rip them to pieces

Play something you don't already play.

What do I mean?

If you play a horde army already of some kind, don't get nids.

If you play a vehicle spam army already, don't get DE.

DE just became a lot more like their pre new codex iteration. They are difficult to master with a steep learning curve but once you get it they are a great army.

Personally, though Tyranids are seen as a bad army right now, I think they are a lot cooler than the Dark Eldar. You can get a lot of Monsterous Creatures, at the same time as an endless wave of troops. I play Imperial Guard, so I know the feeling of a ton of infantry, but having them be close combat oriented (hormaguants) seems like a heck of a lot of fun to me.

What are you looking to get out of the army?

Ok, well I already collect Orks and thats a horde army, so I think I'll get DE (40k)! Thanks Guys!
