I'm having trouble finding in the book where it specifies if you can or can not Overwatch from a vehicle.
Help?

No over watch allowed for vehicles but it's been shown to me that the passengers can fire out of fire points. Although template weapons get only a d3 hit.

Yes, units in a transport can Overwatch from a vehicle just not the vehicle itself. It should under the transport section in the BRB

Then why is everyone talking about Burna wagons being un-assaultable? Page reference please?

Time for everyone to start putting 30 orks in an open topped vehicle.

No over watch allowed and vehicles can't even get overwatch for themselves. It's under the Vehicle section in the book.
Wrong, page 80 tells us that if a transport vehicle is assaulted, an embarked unit can fire overwatch at the attackers out of its fire points.

Ah thanks Lone!
So, that means that 20 Boyz in a wagon, with two big shootas gets 42 Overwatch shots from any angle they are assaulted from. Love it.

What exactly is broken?
Snap shots is hardly overpowing. And vehicles are a lot more vulnerable in assault.

Wall of Death. And in the case of 15 Burna Boys its 15 D3 Burner autohits it lives up to its name.

For the same reason that Burna boys are 'unassaultable.' Overwatch from all those flamers results in a whole lot of hits on anything running at them.

How often are people assaulting your burnawagon? Round these parts when a burnawagon is on the table people just back up and shoot it.

Hey that's not true. Even though I don't benefit from the interaction of Rules A and B I don't think it is broken. Now Rules A and C on the other hand...Dang Tau are so OP'd now... Oh and the odds of every 40K player ever failing Probability in high school is approx. 725 to 1. Though my Farseer has been known to be wrong...from time to time.

A burnawagon is not "unassaultable" it's "if you think assaulting it is a good idea then I have a very nice bridge I'd like to sell you..."

Before purchasing said bridge, I'm going to need to know location, specs, building materials, etc.

Hey Monkeys what am I missing here? I am having trouble following the conversation here. Can anyone fill me in please?

1. Why is a unit of burna boyz un-assaultable? Burnas are template weapons and on page 52 it states that template weapons cannot fire snap shots...

2. Where is this D3 hits per burna comming from?

It is easier to extinguish the light within, than to dispell the darkness that surrounds without

Overwatch allows template weapons to use Wall of Death - d3 hits per template weapon. No rolling to hit.

Wall of Death, page 52 under Template weapons.

D3 times 15 for full burnas, and that is only if you subscribe to the school of burnas can be used as flamers in the assault phase.

Its not in the assault phase. Overwatch triggers an out of turn shooting phase. You shoot as normal with the exception of all shots must be snapfire or WoD shots.

However if I am not mistaken if you use the flamers for WoD you can not use them as power weapons in the Fight subphase.

Correct me ifto i'm wrong, but Overwatch does allow D3 hits for burnasin an open top, but you'll have to roll a D3 for each model not D3 x how many models you have.

You would get Nd3 hits where N is the number of burna boyz.

How about if they are firing from access points? Does that restrict how many burnas or flamers can fire D3?
Is this really more of an advantage for open-topped?
