I finished my list for an apocalypse game I have scheduled for Jan 2013, where I'll be feilding the a 12,500 point force against some loyalist scum. Me and a friend are busy building up our forces, and before I start building up and bulk buying stuff, Should I field Ahimran, Abbadon, Typhus, Kharn and Lucius in the same force ?
There are 4 players, 2 playing chaos and 2 loyalist, composing a massive battle in which a black crusade attacks Marcragge, with blood ravens arriving to save the day. with 25,000 point a side, with me fielding the cult force, the other player as Abbadon and his black legion. would the 5 work together ? I mean, with slaanesh and khorne's rivarly and Nurgle and tzeentch's, would it fluff wise happen ?

I don't believe you could get the 4 of those champions of chaos (arguably) the most powerful mortal servants of their patrons onto the same battlefield. I don't think they would tolerate each other.

I think fluff wise abaddon is the one person who could make it happen.

I think it could happen, but only if exactly all 4 are in there along with at least one undivided army (i.e. word bearers/black legion) representing them begrudgingly/being rewarded enough for them to team up.
leave one out and it will seem incomplete and unbalaced (in terms of chaos gods not actual game/strength balance).
Chaos does unite from time to time especially for big targets, if you feel you have to do something use that ruling that comes with desperate allies for those characters and THEIR personal units ( the one they join) only as to say they would still distrust each other at that range.

It's possible for them to work together yes. Although I've gotta say the likely hood of them all ending up on the same battlefield is actually slim. Ahriman would be doing the seeking knowledge thing, Kharn the slaughter thing, Typhus the spreading disease thing, Lucius the bloody revelry thing... Their greater goals may coincide when Abaddon declares a Black Crusade, but their individual goals less likely. I guess you could say Abaddon gathers the hounds and then lets them loose...

Ahriman would instead plan out where to send kharn off to most effectively kill things while he goes off on his own.

Exactly, he'd go off on his own... or the red mist might descend on Kharn and Ahriman ends up a head shorter... I think even Abaddon knows there are far too many possibilities when you put all four of them in the same room...

Even if the tabletop maps are very limited in scale, actual campaigns are large enough that most HQ's wouldn't even see each other across the battlefield. They'd likely be engaged in different missions across a planet or even a sector.

For a proper Apoc game, there are no rules saying they don't work together, so don't sweat it. Otherwise, demand that Dark Angles and Space Wolf HQs also do a duel before the match, or that Black Templars charge allied psyker/xeno units and so on.

Good luck with your endevour OP, and I do think you could get all 5 on 1 battlefield.

Kharn is easy. Its a complete reenactment of Horus and Angron during the HH.

Ahriman could be trying to find info in Maccrage's library.

Lucius is just looking for an awesome fighter to fight, maybe hoping Calgar or Sicarius or Aggeman is a good fight.

Typhus could be tricky. Just say Nurgle enters an alliance with Khorne or Slaanesh and told Typhus to help Lucius/Kharn.

I reckon kharn is just looking for people to slay, skulls to take, bodies to rip apart, stuff to kill, I'm guessing a massive 50,000 point battle would be the place to be.
I think one of the loyalist players has payed someone to build a fortress building to represent a ultramarine fortress, so we'll say it holds the libary of knowledge of the codex for fluff sakes to keep Ahimran there.

I might have to add some special rule to represent that, maybe 'If Lucius is within 18'' of any named enemy character, the player may choose to charge into that character/ and its joined troop. If the player does this, Lucius can re-roll failed to wound rolls'

Apoc book, Chaos vs Imperium fight. Who shows up for Chaos? Only 'Baddy, Kharn, Ahriman, Lucius and Typhus.
Go for it. The other side better have Calgar, Tigurius, a model for Captain (Or chapter master, depending on fluff) Gabriel Angelos, etc.

I've versed these guys numerous times before, and I know they have models for Marneus Calgar, Siguris (Or whatever else that twit is called), Though Tiguris and Gabriel are a maybe

Gabriel would need custom rules. Maybe take a SM CM and tool him with whatever you want, but must take a Nemesis Daemonhammer (GK codex) 45pts. Maybe a special rules or whatever.

Chapter Master with Daemonhammer sounds about right.
