I didn't want to put it in rumours as its just speculation. However, I believe Stormravens with be availible in all future marine codexes.


The reason I believe this is because in the Appendix where all unit profiles are, there are 2 sections. 1 for BA specific vehicles. Listed here are Furioso and Death Company Dreads, as well as Baals.

The Stormraven is instead listed in the Space Marine scetion.

It's also a GK vehicle. Instead of listing it twice in the codex specific areas, they listed it once in the non-codex specific vehicle area.

Good point. However I'll counter by saying that Chimera is listed under GK and IG.

I wouldn't read into it any. You think during the big blitz of fliers they'd have pushed it for being for all Marine armies, so if they weren't going to do it then they probably weren't going to do it ever.

And you don't think that has anything to do with IG and GK having only one vehicle in common so creating a section for that would be a bit pointless?

If the StormRaven was going to be made available to all marine codexes then the StormTalon would have been as well.

As the space marine dex got the storm talon and for example blood angels didnt I wouldnt think normal marines will get the raven unless they go back and give the talon to other marine chapters which I doubt for the minute in trade

Though as with anything GW it is possible

As was said, Marine codexes share a lot of vehicles, so having a generic section is advantageous. Its not a Codex: Space Marines section.

GK and IG share one vehicle and nothing else that would fit into a generic section. Much easier to print that one twice.

It will not be included, gw doesn't want you to buy one more vehicle they want to to buy a whole new army. If you like the stormraven build the new army, if you like the talon start a new army ect. That's why the ally rules are an hq and troop before anything else. They want people to get an allied attachment and then say hey I've already basically started a new army I should finish it out.

Second this, because they know you can just run a C:SM army then ally blood angels and take a cheap HQ plus Troops choice to the the Storm raven!

I'm just praying Dark Angels get the Stormtalon. I want a Ravenwing Stormtalon.

GW also wants the Marine armies to be at least somewhat different, and giving one army Shiny New Unit X and the other Shiny New Unit Y will help keep them from being so samey.
