Would this work / be legal

Using a Tau list with Shadowsun who gains Stealth Armor which provides Stealth and Shroud with a Eldar detachment of Wraithguards, Warlock using Conceal

Then add in Farseer with Fortune

Wouldnt this give you a squad of 12 guys with reroll +2 Cover Save while in the open

6+ = 6/36 | Reroll 1s = 7/36 | Reroll Misses = 11/36 ||||||| 5+ = 12/36 | Reroll 1s 14/36 | Reroll Misses = 20/36 ||||||| 4+ = 18/36 | Reroll 1s 21/36 | Reroll Misses = 27/36
3+ = 24/36 | Reroll 1s 28/36 | Reroll Misses = 32/36 ||||||| 2+ = 30/36 | Reroll 1s 35/36 ||||||| Highest of 2d6 = 4.47

Not quite: you'd have to figure out a way to kill off shadowsuns' drones before she would become an Independant character that could then join the wraithguard and crew. Until you off the drones, she counts as an upgrade character for them (as per the tau FAQ) and thus is ineligable. Once that happens though, your combo should work fine.

Makes sense, I doubt we can suicide drop drones as we do to Ethereals either

Nope. Quite the opposite actually, it says she 'has' to start the battle joined with her drones.

You can suicide the drones, since models in a unit can opt to move or not on a model by model basis, but it would be tricky to pull this off since they must remain in coherency.

You move models out at a time. Drone moves 1st, dies (not out of coherency), drone #2 moves, dies... and so on. Of course, if the drone survives, you're in trouble.

Jump and Jet pack models don't take the height penalty for jumping from a building, and since drones gain the Jet pack rule from their host model they'll only die on a 1.

They also get their armor save.

No armor save from jumping, that's one of the exceptions from a regular dangerous terrain test. Inv saves yes though.

Yea but if they don't sue their packs to move Shadowsun can't either.

It doesn't mention them having to be using them at the time, just that if they're equipped with them.
