Probably not the correct place for your question, this forum is more towards new members saying hello.

Whilst I'd agree with you under normal circumstances I placed posts in the other places that I thought I could find these people. I also placed one here to get their attention in case they didn't dip into the relevant forums... I didn't know what else to do. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, judging by what normally happens here in the introduction forum it seems that it has become a place for many others to simply up their post count... some even seem to trawl up posts on mass from many many months ago!

just gunna say, if other people break the rules and get away with it that does not give you permission to break the same rules.
Not accusing you or anyone else of anything, just a general fact.

All of 30 secounds of Googleing on my phone. ......
I admire your google-fu but its no match for randomly trawling across the gaming forums... erm!
Rules is rules is rules but please, if anybody has any better suggestions about how I can find people into cosplay and happen to be on dakka then I'd love to hear them. I figured it was the best way to find those particular people so went with it...

IMHO the BEST way is to go to comic-con and the like, but that costs $$ lol

@ OP - Perhaps expand on what you're after. I don't do cosplay, but I'm curious about your project.

I'm running a campaign weekend at Maelstrom Games in December. It's a narrative weekend and I had hoped to find some people who are into cosplay to help me make little video sketches to link the games. I'm not having much luck. Have a few ideas to progress it with a few basic costumes but some of the more extreme 40k stuff is beyond me. I can easily do catachan's etc, but want to find some Marine types... seen lots of pics from the states but few people in the UK!

When I tried explaining the 40k backstory to my good lady, she couldn't get past the fact that the Legion-leading demigods shared their name withe a barrel-scraping chain store.
Sigh.

It is the father of all stores, all stores look up to them as a model of perfection to aspire to, so that one day they too can take their place at the right hand of Emperormart in the Terramall.

My other half works for them, she is paid very well and is one of the reasons I can maintain a presence in the war-gaming world despite GW's constant attempts to price me out of it!
So some respect, if you please... Primark Saved my 40K!
