Hey everyone, I figured I should ask this so my friends stop bugging me: Does anyone know what the next colossal is going to be after the Hyperion in October? I know Matt Wilson posted some semi-painted pics of the Archangel on Twitter, and the Woldwrath is in the new No Quarter, but nothing has been confirmed. I'm only asking because one friend plays Menoth and the other is Legion, and since two of my armies have released colossals, they're getting a little restless for theirs.

Because I went looking for it myself....

As of L&L, the Galleon and the Judicator were in a bit of a race. The Judicator's 3D print had come in, but the studio had to sculpt the filigre on it. The Galleon's 3D print was in the works but almost done, and had no need fo rextra filligre or sculpting.

The Woldwrath was already done though. My personal guess is Woldwrath, Judicator/Galleon, Arcangel, Mammoth at this rate.

And stuff.

I would say woldwrath is a shoe in for the next release, the model is done and rules are spoiled. It is ready as soon as they get it cast and boxed.


We don't know the status of galleon, but we know archangel is near the end of its sculpting phase so those two are likely to be the next pair. PP has the menite filigree for their models by hand so the judicator is behind the galleon. The mammoth only had a concept sketch made so he it seems like it is bringing in the rear.

Yes, that is the CAD image of a galleon.
The judicator is floating around too, but it does not have all the hand-sculpted details depicted in the CAD image. The concept art for the mammoth was also shown that same day I believe. Lock and Load was pretty awesome this year, I should try to go next year.

Meh...I've already been commissioned to assemble and paint 3 Everblight Gargantuans. I was wishing that Skorne would have gotten a T-Rex.

They're supposed to be fairly poseable, IRRC. Though that may only apply to the warmachine ones since they don't have flesh and the like.

The Woldwrath is a construct as well.

The Conquest and Stormwall so far are fairly posable with shoulder and elbow ball joints on the Stormwall and a flat joint and elbow ball joint on the Conquest. The Kraken is technically non-posable with only a limited ball joint at the base of the unicorn cannon, but otherwise you could bend the tentacles as they're metal, so you have some play there.

Mountain King is not posable at all, which follows how the plastic beasts compare to the plastic jacks. It's just harder to have good looking joints in flesh be posable compared to machine joints. The Wold Wrath is kind of machine-y though so he Might get away being posable, but at least should be a lot easier to convert to a new pose.
