I would actually try to find points to do 2x10 Lootas.

Grots are not worth the time and effort. They are food and slaves, nothing more. Would you want your food to hold an important objective, or a slave for that matter?

I am not sure 3 jets are worth it. Used mine tonight and it really didn't do much even on waagh! turn.

The thing about MSU lootas (5-man units) is that they are not really perceived as a big threat and can be ignored. 10-man units are usually shot. Besides, with 3x5 you can actually target and perhaps kill 3 transports.

Who is going to grab the objectives when the nob bikers are busy killing everything? Don't expect them (the bikers) to sit on objectives. That is not their role. As a matter of fact, if it was me, I'd drop the trukk boyz, get 1 units of 19 gretchins and find the points to get a RoW Jetbike Doomseer ally with guardians (that's a farseer on jetbike with Runes of Warding and Doom, accompanied by a troop unit of 3 guardian jetbikes). Because what will kill those nob bikers are psychic powers that they have no way to defend against.

But then again, I'm more of a competitive player rather than a fluffy one.

I dislike allies and hope that my FLGSs frown upon their use.

Edit: That said, your suggestion is an interesting one and I might try it out. I like Farseers and Eldar Jetbikes.

I don't see 5 Lootas killing enough. I useally use 15 man squads. They work great and I have only lost one unit ever, that was to outflanking Genestealers. Well don't have to worry aboujt that anymore. Ifr you have more infront of the enemy then they can shoot then the lootas should be safe no matter how many there are.

Why should you sit on objectives anyways? I don 't see that as a viable tactic for Orks. You should out number most players. Sitting on an objective is just a waste of points even if its 40 points. It's still a waste. Just because I don't use grots I am not a competitive player? I like to win just as much as the next guy, but I allos like to follow fluff just the same. But I am also going to do it smart and not waste points. The way I see it with objectives is I need more then you. If that is one more, two more or three more makes no difference. Last couple turns I start planning on how I am going to get them. If it works out then great. I alos make sure objectives are rather close to each other. Less space to cover which means easier to get to all of them.

The trukk does stand out. I would be happy with grots as a token scoring unit.
More lootas, kannons and an ADL with quadgun would all be very nice.

Very nice just a bit unsure about having a flimsy piece of mech protecting a very important scoring unit.
