Meltas, We just cant get enough of them. Maybe its the Melta weilding IG vets, Or the Combi Melta Sternguard we love them.
But thats the problem, they are SO hard to get your hands on en mass. Well I have a solution. Its quick, but you can made meltas using just what you have(or a quick stop to the store.
First. What you need.
Files
Needle Point Sculpting tool.
A smoothing tool.
Modeling putty(whatever you use is fine)
1/8 diameter Kebab sticks
and something to put it on.

Your Tools and other things you need

This is a bolter with the muzzle filed off

Ok, Cut(not clip, it will fray the stick) the sitck at about 5 centimeters(use a melta muzzle you should have to help you) then filed it flat and glue it to the bolter

Next Knead a small amount of putty, then into a cylindrical Shape

Sandwich it between baking paper.

Roll Flat with hobby knife

Cut it about 1/4 an inch

Now roll around the stick, Smoothing it aloong the way.

Make the indents on the side

When it dries file it smoothe

How do you get rid of folds and creases in the green stuff?
I keep getting folds and creases when I roll into a ball, and they never come out when I am rolling into a cylinder.

I smooth them out when im done rolling or when they are one the Stick. Or cut around them
