Subject: One dedicated SM Assault Squad?

Hey all! I've been playing 40k and White Scars for about 6 months now. I'm finding that in most of my games it comes down to 1 result, whether i can kill all of his dedicated assault elements before he can get into my back field. I think it would be beneficial to have one dedicated CC element if only to be a line clearer. Something to have my opponents second guess their placements and reserves attacking my back field.
Whats in the SM codex that would fulfill this role well? right now i have 310ish points to play with.
Thanks!

Assault Terminators may be the answer. That or Ironclad Dreadnoughts.

You haven't many choices in the vanilla codex. I would go for a command squad on bikes, as they can get to where you need them.

Command squad on bikes is an amazing choice. T5 and FNP. Load them up with atleast storm shields for 4 models with a 3++. Then start loading up on power weapons till you total out your points. they will decimated most of what they run into. If you use Kor'Sarro Khan then stick him on a bike with the squad to grant them furious charge and hit and run. Though the unit isn'tas effective here in 6th ed it will still be a major threat. Or you could allways use the stead fast TH/SS termies though they are not the most synergistic unit they are a major force wherever they are. Both of these are extremely CC though the Command squad gains an advantage of the TL bolters on the bikes

You want at least one power fist in your command squad.
310 points gains you a command squad, bikes, company champion, three storm shields, a power fist, and a lightning claw.
My own is two fists, two claws, two melta, four shields, but costs 365.

As a dedicated assault unit to clear the line ironclads are great for this, as they don't lock into combat, meaning you don't have to finish of that unit lost 2 men in the assault. you should be able to take 2 if you have the slots to spare.
